The Cards are losing out. CKW wants to pick his own QBOF. Got his backup in last year's draft. It was all planned out once he and Rod learned Warner wasn't coming back.

A grand scheme to rid himself of some of Denny's guys who had apparent attitude problems and Rod to rid himself of some real financial problems for the team.

I can just see CKW and Graves in a backroom pouring over FA QB stats from 2009 going "now who is the absolute worst guy out there?" "which of these guys give us the best chance to lose?" "No doubt its Dereck Anderson."

"But how do we explain this QB move to the fans?" "Hmmmm.... I've got it! Intangibles!!!"

I hope one of the teams wins the Division with a 7-9 record. Just to hear all the talking threads would make it extremely worthwhile.

If we won out, we'd have a chance. Then, from everything I've seen, our team would lose in the first round.

I dislike the Rams but, with Bradford throwing, I think they're the only team in the West that might squeak past the first round. Maybe.

We suck and making the playoffs this season would not change that fact. However, I'd much rather be the 3 time defending NFC West Division leader that sucked than the sorry looking team that finished last in the West.

I'm not saying I don't want to make the playoffs but at this point it doesn't matter. You make the playoffs for a chance at the Superbowl, not many people care about being the "NFC West Champion" especially if its only going to take 6 wins to take it.

The Cards are getting hammered by teams that get hammered in all their other games. Westbrook had 9 carries for 31 yards today. The 4and9ers have been outscored 54-16 in the bookend games.

We won't see another Cardinal win this season if they don't win today 18-15.

BTW San Francisco is now FOUR AND NINE too funny.

And that's where we disagree. You take your successes where you can find them, especially if you have the kind of history the Cardinals have. Until they rein in rookie salaries, you can't really even make the case that you're better off losing to improve your draft slot.
