I picked other. His ego is his biggest downfall. If he brings in a FA or drafts a guy he is reluctant to ever switch their position of bench them. He always believes his 1st decision is the right one.

from 10,000 feet up it sure looks that way.....you can always tell something about a manager based on who they surround themselves with....i always try to have people "better" than i am as my associates....can we say that about dg....maybe with cp but i would not vouch for the rest...i also question which so many people seem to think about his ability to judge talent....

The only thing at this point that has been positive is that, during the draft, I don't feel like a complete idiot as a Card fan. He has drafted some good players.

He totally scapegoated Rowen, no question.

That's DG though and that's why as a person I can't stand him, as a coach most of why I don't like him relates to poor ingame decision making, he plays reckless when he should be conservative, and he plays scared when he should let it fly.

He's not an awful coach though, he needs quality assistants he can delegate in game strategy to a larger degree than he can now.

I liked Rowen and had high hopes for the guy but he didn't seem to do much in terms of later game adjustments, this OC I like a lot more so it's hard for me to get too mad at DG for that move, even though I agree he totally threw him under the bus.
