Accuracy can be improved but I don't care what anybody says it can't be taught.

I alluded to this in the thread about QBs. I was wondering if accuracy should be the highest priority. Seems other shortcomings are easier addressed through coaching or play calling

Glennon will be on the trading block/FA for sure when Maroita goes to TB

Stay the course. This season ended with disappointment, but a lot of that disappointment came from heightened expectations based on a remarkable performance for most of the year. People sometimes refer to return from injury as quasi-acquisitions: in this case we'll be seeing a number of automatic upgrades.

It's easy to be obsessed by the QB positions, but I do think they should move on from Lindley and Thomas. Stanton is a capable backup but I'd like to see someone who could challenge Palmer, let alone replace him if he goes down. Drafting a QB appeals, but it'll likely be the third-stringer unless someone falls or they trade up. I don't want Winston, though.

I think the window is open for this team to contend-- so I put my eggs in the Palmer basket and hope for the best. I want to invest in getting better up front on the offensive line, and improving the running game.

The good news there is that LT is set, and RT is good enough. Guards and RBs are easier to find past round 1 than almost any other position.

Adding athleticism anywhere on the front 7 is important. Yesterday you could see how they needed someone on the edge to command a double team.

And let's hope that Daryl Washington does and says all the right things and only gets a 4 game suspension to start next season.

Bingo

Cry

You just saw a season blown like a line of coke

You get to the playoffs and the team chokes the last 3 games in a row
Lost the championship and now you are done

Horrible draft pick coming

All for not

This post has to be:

A. A Joke
B. An attempt to troll
C. Made by a 12 year old.

I hope it's C.

Restructure Fitz if possible. If not trade him .
Re-sign the following Card FA`s
Dan Williams NT
Mike Leach LS

Draft
1.pass rusher
2.safety who can cover somebody
3.Another QB to develop
4.CB
5.pass rusher
6.run stuffing ILB
7.DT-NT run stuffing widebody for rotation.

2. Safety who can cover somebody? Same guys took Buchannon. Must not be a priority. #1 picks.

3. Another QB to develop. How about the right QB to develop not named Thomas.

6. Run stuffing LB. That was supposed to be Minter.

The gang that couldn't shoot straight.

Trade Fitz
At #22 grab a replacement for Fitz WR. This draft is loaded with WOs.
2nd round grab a real RB
3rd round a real development QB plenty of 3rd round QBs availabl and this is where a mini run on QBs will begin.

Wow. The team didn't "choke," it got beat bc of injuries.

This.

Ignorant post. How long have you been a fan? Michael Bidwill personally knocked on doors to get votes for the new stadium which has fueled our recent success and he's committed to winning. I have zero doubt about that. His dad had absolutely no interest in winning and was perhaps the worst owner in the history of professional sports. To suggest that Michael doesn't want to win is just plain stupid.

& this.

We really can't wait for the draft. I want Glennon at the first meeting, practice, or office party to start learning this offense. Tampa has the first pick and if they aren't happy with Gleenon or they know they are taking a QB why wait?

True, and his value would most likely be higher before they drafted MM.

Okay, I misspelled Bidwill. I gave them the same amount of respect they've been giving fans for decades.

maybe you should take your time machine back to SDS and Bill running the team.

Same old cards is a remnant of the past. Some fans are as well.

My plan would mirror a lot of others on this thread:

1. Decide on Fitz & DD - Either restructure or release as ARZ needs cap relief.

2. Trade for Mike Glennon - Tall QB with arm that BA loves. Probably could be had cheap.

3. Re-sign Williams & Ta'amu - No DT's on roster to replace them.

4. Sign Iupati & Franklin - Only big FA moves. Interior OL not built for running game, these guys solve that. Allows ARZ to move Cooper to C. Hopefully, Fitz/DD cap relief and other cuts can provide enough cap room.

Draft:
#1 - Nate Orchard - Pass rusher..enough said. Would take Beasley if available but won't be IMO.

#2 - Marcus Peters - Character issues, yes but leaders on defense will keep him in check. Top CB in draft despite issues, with size and coverage skills. Cro's replacement.

#3 - Ty Montgomery - 6'2 220 4.45, should cushion potential loss of Fitz.

#4 - Jay Ajayi - 6'0 216, guy has been a beast for BSU the last 2 years.

#5 - Traded for Glennon.

#6 - AJ Tarpley - Rugged, tough ILB who had a nice career at Stanford.

#7 - Trey DePriest - 6'2 245 - 250 thumper.

Good plan, man! I agree with so much of this---only Glennon is going to command at least a 3rd rounder.

What do you think the Cardinals do with D-Wash?

Thanks! Glennon's trade value is hard to gauge as he is sitting on the bench collecting dust and TB could draft Marriota making him even more expendable.

As for Washington, if he is going to be suspended again for at least half the season, cut him if it helps us cap wise as we could use the money for his replacement. My question to board capologists, couldn't have ARZ recouped some of his bonus/salary based on something put in his contract for morals clause? Also haven't looked into it but will cutting Washington hurt or help cap wise?

He will hopefully get a 4 game suspension to start the year, and then whether he has his head on straight or not will determine whether we keep him. Talentwise, he is a crucial cog. Mentally, he is a disaster. Locker-room wise, he is a potential liability but they have already spoken out that they would welcome him back.

Another QB to develop? Really? Don't we already have one of those?

Lets give Bask a little credit here, it's not like they drafted LT in the first or second round.. He was always a 2-3 year project at best.

If Tennessee goes with a QB first round, Mettenberger could be available. I was higher on him then Glennon coming out of college. Anybody else interested in Mett?

Honestly, After Lindley... anyone would be ok with me.

Crap, I think even if we had D-Wreck we win enough games to take the division.

There's talk that they're going with Mettenberger and will pass on a QB at #2. Could be just draft talk but it wouldn't surprise me either.
