Maybe I was dreaming but I saw the scroll at the bottom of the screen "Detroit waives Coleman and signs Gill & House" I thought is was on NBA TV...... I'll look some more.

I checked Fox and ESPN, plus the team page already. I will keep digging as well, but they would have jersey numbers by now if it happened I would think.

Phew, was freaking me out. For future reference, most NBA team pages are slow to update. We are spoiled by the Suns page, they have been the top ranked the last 2 seasons I think.

Also, if you want to watch transactions, ESPN is usually up to date. However, they sometimes ignore things all together. Fox Sports will have EVERYTHING, but might post a little later in the day, or following morning.

I would normally agree that there would be more to it, except for the near and long term, there really is no playing time for Zarko.

That doesn't matter. My point is that it is common to keep long-term prospects around even when there's no playing time for them, especially if they are (fairly) high draft picks on inexpensive contracts.

That is true but there is a new trend that even 1st rounders are cutted before their rookie contracts expire.
Some players of them:

Haston #16 in 2001
Bradley #17 in 2001
Forte #21 in 2001
Sasser #22 in 2001
Haislip #13 in 2002
Jefferies #27 in 2002
Troy Bell #16 in 2003

the average time in the nba for a first round pick is 4.5 years. heck most players players wont last for there full rookie contract. otherwise this number would be much higher. you look at players like reggie miller (who is 39) and kevin willis etc who have very long stays in the nba.

4.5 years, think about that when you look at the suns draft picks for the past 15 years. heck our second round picks end up lasting for that long. heck in that time i can only thing of one first round pick that didnt last that long of the suns (mario bennitt).
