I am undecided as to which I like better: shoestring fries, steak fry wedges, or somewhere in between.

Feel free to refer to them as freedom fries if you wish.

Fries dipped in melted cheese is great. Chili chees fries are also great. Dipping them into Garlicy mayo sauce in Europe (not the stuff they had in Sun Devil Stadium) is good as well.

I enjoy eating the fry that gets stuck to the side of the cheese on a cheeseburger.

I am a french fry fiend. I probably eat them 4-5 times a week.

Wendy's fry's are great. Fatburger's steak fries are also great. Rally's fries are also great.
McDonalds/Burger King/Jack in the Box, good, but not great.

Bacon Cheese fries at the Outback are awesome, and good enough for a meal.

Hungry now :(

I like fries made in the oven. I grew up on them. I hate microwave fries.

This is why the Food Forum should be by itself. Then we could have a Tater Appreciation Sub Forum

Yes. I wanted to start a thread on french fries v. mashed potatoes.
And I wanted to start one on what people put on their Baked Potatoes. Don't want to clog the forum up with too many Tater Threads, however. :frown:

Exactly. Hey, when you get your name change to Pariah, will you be the Food mod?

My problem with them is they seem to be all outside part with no white potato inside.
Potato skins are pretty good....yet another reason, that when I become Pariah....I will seek to make this it's own forum.

I like the skins. Always eat the skin of a baked potato. I see a differece between a potato skin and the outside (crust, hide, peel?) of a fry.

What about seasoned fries?? I think that is kind of outlandish...and disrespectful to the Tater.

I like them both, don't discriminate.

I like fries made in the oven. I grew up on them. I hate microwave fries.

I make my fries at home in the oven. Without a deep frier, it is too messy.

Depends on the seasoning. Rally's fries are good, because of the seasoning. They would just be blah withouth them.

Sour cream, bacon bits, butter, salt

Sometimes for supper I'll bake large potatoes and top with steamed broccoli, chicken, sour cream, bacon bits, cheese, butter, salt

Loving baking potatoes by washing them, poking holes in them, rolling salt, and baking uncovered on the rack for about an 1 hr 15 minutes. Crispy outside perfect on the inside.

Chili and Cheese make the best baked potatoes.

the shoestring fries at houston's are fantastic.

My "run into a celebrity while eating at Houston's" is running 5 for 5 over the past year. Last month, chatted with Jeff Hornacek and his wife on the patio while waiting for a table
