    Zaza to the Hawks?

The Hawks shouldn't hold out for a max contract player; if they sign anyone too good, they'll have to worry about JJ demanding a trade to the Hornets so he doesn't have to waste away as the #2 option.

    Diaw?

Bill Simmons' new intern is a lifetime Hawks fan, and he had this encouraging take about Diaw in the Sports Guy's Daily Links: By The Intern Page 2 It's not official yet, but I'm so giddy over the announced Joe Johnson sign and trade that I can't help myself. Apparently the Hawks are...

    Insider 7/25/2005 Allan Houston rule

Clearly the Suns need to pick up Danny Fortson; at least then Ginobili's falls will be legitimate.

Lucas Tischer signs with Phoenix Suns?

Diogu scored the easiest on Tischer. I was about three rows behind the Suns bench that game, and my friend and I were commenting on how easily Ike could score on Tischer numerous times. I don't know how the numbers actually stacked up, but it was pretty clear in the moment that Ike was having...

Lucas Tischer signs with Phoenix Suns?

I like Tischer too, but don't forget that he was guarding Diogu for most of his 37 that game.

Lucas Tischer signs with Phoenix Suns?

There are plenty of reasons why the Suns might want to sign Ron Slay, but size is not one of them. He is listed at 6'8, which is undersized in its own right, but I would be shocked if he was actually a hair over 6'6. He plays bigger than Graham, but I'm really not sure he is any bigger.

Lucas Tischer signs with Phoenix Suns?

FWIW, from what I saw, Graham was considerably better than Katelynas in almost every aspect of the game. Granted, my opinion is based on watching just two summer league games, but I really don't think the two are in the same league.

Lucas Tischer signs with Phoenix Suns?

Is he 230 pounds or 270? At 230 he is a PF, but at 270 with any kind of athleticism he's a center. __________________ He looked more like a power forward to me, probably somewhere between 240 and 250. He seemed to be roughly the same size as Ike Diogu. He has the athleticism to play center...

    Who Is Lonnie Baxter?

Baxter was one of the top players on Maryland's championship team a few years back. He was a better college player than teammate Chris Wilcox, but because of height concerns and limited potential, he was never seen as a great NBA prospect. If you're interested, I did a quick search on Baxter...

Lucas Tischer signs with Phoenix Suns?

He looked great on offense in the last summer league game when the team made an effort to get him the ball. He in no way reminded me of Jake Voskuhl. He is 10x more athletic than Voskuhl, and not nearly as skilled at this point. He was the most impressive player on any team in warm-ups, but...

    Amare hanging with the homeboys???

FWIW, I have a quick secondhand story on Sheed. I grabbed dinner during the Nuggets/Clippers game, but someone sitting next to me said that while I was gone, Sheed showed up at the summer leagues. He said that Wallace made a point not to distract from the oncourt proceedings, but that after...

Fear and Loathing from Las Vegas

Thanks for the kind comments guys. At the risk of gaining the reputation of a too-frequent poster, I will now do my best to answer Sly Fly's question with a brief analysis on the ladies at PURE. Dan Langhi Would Destroy These Girls: Cindy: She showed potential early on, but hurt her knee...

Fear and Loathing from Las Vegas

Suns Analysis The Suns clearly struggled without Barbosa (a pinky?!), but there were certainly some good things to take away from viewing them. The following is an analysis of the 11 guys that played in the Suns last two games, categorized by their likelihood to make the team: Dan Langhi...

Fear and Loathing from Las Vegas

Hey everybody. Long time lurker, first time poster. A buddy and I, being basketball nerds of the highest degree, went down to Vegas to check out the last two days of the summer league. I know I always look forward to the insights I read on this site, so I thought I would share my impressions...
