    It's funny, because I kind of see the opposite playing out. Few trades, people let the draft come to them. There's a lot of quality but i don't see many players worth falling in love with and mortgaging the rest of your draft, My prediction is that the Cards will draft the best impact player...

    I still like Alshon Jeffery

    As a South Carolina alumnus I'm biased, but there was a reason he was considered by many to be the best SEC receiver in 2010. He actually outplayed the likes of AJ Green and Julio Jones. In my perfect homer world we'd get Melvin Ingrim in round 1 and trade back into 2 and get Alshon.

    I like the fact that Harbaugh is coming to the 49ers. College coaches don't tend to do all that well in the pros. AT least one year of turmoil retooling that roster and implementing a new system. Major questions at QB as well.

    People are down on Mallet for the same reason some on this board were down on Rivers; they haven't seen him play. If he played in the WAC or Big East the whole "he hasn't won anything" argument might hold some water. But as it stands he plays in the SEC and looked a whole lot better here...
