    Free Agency 2018

Id imagine the we (the Clippers) have a few moves lined up. Seems to me they already know what they are doing with DJ (or if he is opting out) based on the Gortat deal. I would think Milos figures into those plans here in the next week or so. No need to bore with the hypotheticals, but Milos...

    Free Agency 2018

RFA, but makes some sense as a gamble for an upside guy who can play on and off the ball next to Booker. Plus, he can defend guards and some wings. Jumper seems to be improving.

    Free Agency 2018

Yeah, he wont be back and is potentially a trade piece this week, as hes only guaranteed a little over $2 mil next year.

I actually like King in Phoenix. Rebounds, long arms, will space the floor, plays hard. Hes another combo-forward and fits how the Suns are building/want to play. If you like that sort of thing :)

Ive always been a King fan. Id take him over Rawle (coming from a UA guy).

Jackson is an elite athlete and quality defender, albeit without a + wing span. Bridges is a quality defender and good shooter with a 7'0.5" wingspan. Both guys can play multiple positions, especially next to an elite rebounder in Ayton. We just arent going to see things eye to eye if you...

Yeah, I mean I certainly would take him. Whats the downside in the 2nd? You know hes potentially a ++ defender at the 1 and 2. If he improves his jumper, hes a rotation guy.

2018 NBA Draft Live Discussion Thread

Someone is seeing the light. Not to mention, you now have three guys who can switch ball screens in Bridges, Jackson, and Ayton. All the talk about Ayton's rim protection (which absolutely needs to improve) and not enough about how he held his own switching onto guards this year. Miller had to...

2018 NBA Draft Live Discussion Thread

Dont think there is any way he turns out better than Doncic, but hes a very valuable piece. The major hole in his game is he doesnt create off the bounce. He can attack closeouts off one or two dribbles. That said, you need competent wings in the NBA. Bridges is that out the gates, IMO...

The compensation is iffy, the positions are not.

    Summer trades?

Stat I posted is from cleaning the glass, which subtracts garbage time statistics. You can also find positional data on BBRef, but they calculate minutes much different than Ben Falk (whom I am familiar with on an internet level) of Cleaning the Glass. He worked for the Blazers.

    Summer trades?

Definitely a risk. Smith is all upside, which might or might not pan out. Hes certainly intriguing, not to mention that Miami pick. 76ers did well. I just like Mikal. Hes not gonna be a star, but absolutely perfect fit for how I would be building Phoenix. Agreed on the PG situation.

    Summer trades?

Part of the reason both were promoted, especially West, as he had offers (including from the Clippers).

    Summer trades?

Ryan West and Jesse Buss are really, really good at scouting.

The Suns with the 2018 #1 overall pick select....

I agree with you on Doncic. I like him, but he needs to be in the right situation to be used effectively. I still have him #2 on my board, but my expectations are a bit tempered on him. Regarding Tatum, I know I wasnt on here at the time, but I loved him and made it well known on UA Scout. Why...

The Suns with the 2018 #1 overall pick select....

Thats a great point. I follow all these guys pretty closely, but I disagree with a lot of what they write/say. Its a simple equation for me, albeit I breakdown guys pretty thoroughly when I have the time. The #1 skill in the NBA, IMO, is shot creation. If you can create off the dribble, that is...

NBA.com has made that data, and more, available for free over the last few seasons.

    Summer trades?

They dont need positions, nor do they need to slot into positions. This is what ive been talking about for weeks. LeBron is going to be the main ball handler anyway. Not to mention, George and Kawhi can guard 1-5. That said, its not happening.

My boy Chandler Hutchison popping on that list. Big fan of his game. I've been following this premise for a few years. Its definitely something to form a frame of reference before or after breaking down film. A nice, simple guide to put certain things into perspective and to easily identify...
