    don't think any team was touching him (not one he would really go to at least) for more than 5-6 a year. even at 9 mil it would have been overpaying but would at least be better.

    no good team would have gave him 22 mil... a team like jacksonville yes but he would have never gone to a team like that... he wants to win and get paid.. hence take more than enough from us ... and only a 2 year deal so he can chase a ring if it doesn't work out.

    oh i will can't yet... gotta wait a little bit longer... long story short they overpaid and he believes we can win.. but clearly a reason behind the 2 year deal... allows him to chase a ring if he can still go after two more seasons and if palmer is done or doesn't cut it.
