    They have already dealt successfully with big pressure in two do-or-die play-in games. It’s not a “huge jump” from that to Round 1 pressure. Considering that nobody’s giving them much of a chance in Round 1 and there’s no shame in losing, it may even be less pressure than the play-ins.

    It’s good if they tend not not to challenge when they’re not sure. We don’t want to waste time on bad challenges. But when they are sure, they should be able to challenge without any penalty for getting it right.

    I don’t think think so. There still won’t be a lot of challenges in a typical game, unless the refs are really doing an atrocious job. The combined penalties of no more challenges for the rest of the game, plus a tech, will discourage teams from challenging unless the refs clearly screwed up...
