Kerr suggesting Suns won't trade Amare...

i wouldn't call amare the future just yet. His knees are only temporarily fixed, and they could need another microfracture procedure anytime. We all know his issues with rebounding and defense, too. LeBron is a future, Dwight is a future, Paul is a future, amare is a pseudo-future for now.

Suns going back to run and gun!

I feel for grant. If i were him, i'd have requested a trade long ago. If i was at the same stage in my career and still able to play the way he is, i'd ask to be dealt to a contender. I admire his loyalty.

    When will Amare be traded?

Amare not expected to be traded....soooo

Let's face it: nobody coaches the uptempo game like D'antoni. Gentry may be the best thing we've got left, but he's not Mike. He can say "well let's do what we did when mike was here", but the adjustments and coaching that go on outside of that aren't going to be the same. mike is the master of...

    Richardson arrested again!

Also, it seems odd that he's in trouble like this. Since he's been here, he's been relatively calm when it comes to demeanor on the court. i can't remember any technicals he's gotten, or anything else like that. This is a stupid thing for him to be doing. Say he forgot his kid's seat in his...

    Rumors SWIRLING in Cleveland Tonight

I posted it over in the other amare thread. I'm part of all the madness on RCF now as well.

    Deal going down....VERY SOON

You're right. Talent wise, it would/will be a robbery. They'd give up Szczerbiak's expiring deal (about 14 million) and JJ Hickson, whom many Nba scouts are completely high on. Many say that had he returned to NC state for his sophomore year, he'd be a top 5-10 pick this year. So he's got all...

    Deal going down....VERY SOON

damn it, you just beat me to it :P:P But yes, the guy is an insider and does work with the cavs organization. he knows what he's talking about, no doubt about it.

    Deal going down....VERY SOON

I figured it was worth mentioning this, but not in a new thread (considering so many threads are already geared towards amare deals) : The cavs board i post on is going nuts. The two insiders (both are very reputable, and confirmed sources) are saying that a deal has been agreed upon in...

    Deal going down....VERY SOON

on the cavs board it's been debunked a few times by cleveland area reporters. Z is going to retire a cavalier, he's meant way too much to the organization. Plus, a 7'3 guy that can shoot and do everything he can is a perfect fit next to lebron. shaq, on the other hand, is not. Unless cleveland...

    amare wants to stay

you may very well be right. some teams like cleveland, utah, and others are going to want to re-measure their stacks before heading into next season. The suns could be able to get a pretty sweet deal for him then. When you rush a trade at the deadline, offers aren't usually that great. It also...

    Aldridge, Bayless, LaFrentz for Amare?

if he doesn't resign, they are a pretty attractive destination for young players when the time comes. They can also hold Lafrentz' contract and free up some space that way.

    Aldridge, Bayless, LaFrentz for Amare?

RealGm wiretap reports that the teams are discussing Aldridge, Bayless, and Lafrentz for amare. Lafrentz, obviously, is just there for his big expiring contract. Bayless and Aldridge would both be awesome, IMO. Phoenix has to take this deal if the rumor is true. I would hate the organization if...

No trades close.....my not happen at all

we'd need another guard to replace barbosa. If we could swing even will bynum back in that deal, i might be okay. he had some good flashes earlier in the year.

    Build Around Amare.

Nash's whole career has been plagued with bad defense. That's nothing new. The turnovers have always been there as well, mostly as a product of the systems he's been in.

    Build Around Amare.

KG had a winning attitude before he went there. He did all of the things i mentioned before he got there. Apparently all of the MVP voters thought he was a winner, right? Last time I checked, he won that award too. I hope the second point is a joke. Name me one player at any time in recent nba...

    Build Around Amare.

make it +2. A side note on the KG vs. Amare discussion: Kg wanted to win more than anything else. He put winning above himself, and above playing in some huge market. He plays with his heart on the floor night in and night out. He brings it defensively. He leads his team and demands their...

Warriors very active in pursuit of Amare

exactly, it didn't work out. I can't fault them for making the move for shaq. it was risky, but if it would've worked out like they imagined it could, we may be world champions (or competing this year). It was worth a shot with Marion becoming unwelcome at the time, but you win some and you lose...

Other East team possibilities for Amare?

of course. there'd be no point in keeping amare and brand, because both are starting-caliber power forwards. With dalembert at center, there would be no need for both. it wouldn't be worth it to get young and picks from them, no thanks. they'd have to make a better deal than that.

Warriors very active in pursuit of Amare

I don't think it has much to do with what he wants to do. He has never been a back to the basket player. he has never played with a guy like shaq before, because he's always been the center. His attitude is piss-poor, we all know that. But he was a 20/10 player because the lane was wide open and...
