    5/31/2005 Insider - Fry's stock soaring, Taft's falling

My comparisons Hakim Warrick=Darius Miles Villanueava=Gadzuric Taft=Traylor I believe Miles, Gadzuric and Traylor were 1st round picks as well.

    5/31/2005 Insider - Fry's stock soaring, Taft's falling

I just think some of the big names in the Big East get overvalued. Carmelo in particular comes to mind, I bet the Nuggets had Dwayne Wade right now. After taking Nene and Skita in the prior year, Wade would have made more sense, and especially after his performances in the playoffs last year...

D’Antoni Puts Up Defense of Suns Style

Great Quotes Q "We're not going to let him just throw his hair and get a call" Sounds like they think he is playing like a girl. Amare "I guess he is looking for an acting career" They are also calling him a thesbian. Be a Man, Manu.

Hunter vows to increase his size, strength, wealth

Sorry, I wanted to correct myself but I had to exit. I was going to edit the post to say that if teams could split the MLE that Hunter could get the smaller cut.

Hunter vows to increase his size, strength, wealth

Voskuhl signed a 3 year 5.3 million. Hunter may go for 5.5M-6M for 3 years. Hunters rookie contract was for about that amount. The MLE is about that amount. Do you think he is going to get more than that elsewhere.

    Suns first player workouts

Draftcity mentioned that Philly is looking to get into the first round. I wonder if Cheeks will want to hold on to Dalembert, we could move #21 and Hunter. Both players would have to be sign and trade.

Hunter vows to increase his size, strength, wealth

I would offer him a contract comparable to what Voskuhl earned.

    Sergio Rodriguez article on Draftcity

http://draftcity.com/dcdaily.php?p=345 When is the latest that someone can declare for the draft, the last day to pull out is one week prior. This kid is 18 now and could be hurt by the age restriction, I remember the video someone linked us to a while back, he was spectacular. If he enters...

How complete is Joe’s game? Lebron-esque yet?

I could make this JJ thread into a Q thread. But I won't.

    The Argentinian who cried fowl...

Parker took a flop late in the game on Amare's last basket. I can't believe the Spurs are resorting to such playground type tactics. It was also funny to see Duncan cry for goal tending on Amare's block on his dunk, TD be a man and admit you were denied.

    5/31/2005 Insider - Fry's stock soaring, Taft's falling

Taft, Villaneuava, Warrick all suffer from ESPN hype, Dick Vitale syndrome.

How complete is Joe’s game? Lebron-esque yet?

Joe Johnson is more like Scottie Pippen or Steve Smith in their primes but probably turn out to be a much better 3pt. shooter than those two. Pippen ended up on the top 100 of all time NBA players, Joe could push Pippen out.

    Draftcity Article on Blatche

South Kent Academy sounds like a cross between a military school and private college, a college prep HS. http://www.draftcity.com/headlines.php#876 This kid may be a little more prepared than some of the other HS in this draft and in recent years. He maybe as ready as Amare, just from a...

    5/25/2005 - insider - First Mock Draft

If Jackson comes back as coach of the Lakers, I could see them taking Sean May. He would be perfect for the triangle offense. The Lakers could make a run at some point guards in FA, Damon Stoudamire, Breven Knight, Dan Dickau, Earl Watson (UCLA), Bobby Jackson. A rookie point guard is not going...

    Choices?

I voted for Blatche just going on word of mouth. Did not see him play but sounds like he would fit well. It would be alright if we have him in a rotation 10-15 minute rotation with Hunter. Frye and Warrick will more than likely be gone by 21. There is one UofA player I would like to sign as...

    5/25/2005 - insider - First Mock Draft

I saw Badsen play in the tournament and I wasn't that impressed. He reminded me of Bryant Stith, who had an o.k. career. My feeling is that if we can't get Joey Graham in the 1st, getting Stephan in the second would be a steal. I think S.Graham can elevate his games to Joey's once he is out of...

    5/25/2005 - insider - First Mock Draft

The things that Blatche has been criticized for by some of the scouts is that he does not have low post skills. As I have mentioned before there is no post up plays in the Suns schemes. They utilize face up players and it sound like this kid is a 6'11' small forward, perfect for the Suns...

    Who wins the draft lottery?

Andy Katz was on the Dan Patrick Show today and his analysis was if the draft was held last night, Milwaukee would take Bogut. He anticapates that they will look very hard at Marvin Williams. He did surmise that Atlanta needs a point guard and could anticipate Deron Williams going #2. He...

Where will Joe end up next year?

I think the playoffs are proving that Joe Johnson is more important to this team than Q. Joe is going nowhere.

    More East Coast Bias

Giving the East more favorable scheduling, their series could have started on Saturday and Detroit could have been giving a day and a half rest as well. Just because they are the defending champs and Shaq could have used some additional rest, the series was 'mysteriously' delayed to Monday. If...

5/23/2005 Insider - NBA draft team needs

I believe I had linked to a draftcity report on Garcia. They were adamate saying that he was not athletic. I tend to agree just by the way he runs in short choppy strides. It also stated that he fatigues easily, that sayes enough for me. I would absolutely be surprised if the Suns take him.

    Suns first player workouts

I believe every year the Suns bring in the second round prospects first. They will probably comofluoge what they do in the first if they hang on to it.

    More East Coast Bias

Again, after the fact, but I am going to harp on this again. If TV really wanted a good series, I just don't understand why this series had to start on Sunday. The odds were in SA favor with the Suns short rest and being short handed without JJ. Look at the way the rest of the schedule in the...

Barbosa needs to calm the hell down

I wish Barbosa would just settle on being a spot up shooter, for some reason I have more confidence with him just standing on the arch and launching a 3 than Q. Everytime he makes a move to the hoop, I get concerned. The kid has tunnel vision and that is better for outside shooter than a slasher.

Could the Suns trade a starter for a center?

Joe I just don't buy your stance that Q cannot or should not be moved and I don't think the Suns do either. They will do whatever necessary to improve the team, if Q has market value they will trade him. Getting this far will only ignite the desire to win a championship and IMO JJ will be able...
