    Suns get Aaron Brooks

Feels like the craziest deadline ever. When was the last time with so many trades at the deadline?

    Trade deadline

Let's get JJ Hickson. He has such potential that Cavs refused to trade him for Amare last year! ;)

Bill Duffy with some interesting comments.

Trade Nash. If a team with Nash playing less than 30 min per game can win 56 games or more in the regular season, it has a great chance to win the title.

Mello to the Knicks - RUMOR

Actually, last year's Suns success would be great reminder for potential of MDA's basic system twisted with more defense and selective tempo control. If Amare had played like he's been doing for the NYK lately, Suns would have had a real chance to beat the Lakers in the WCFs. Amare proves now he...

New York Phoeknicks fans sign up

I like to see Amare maturing into a true franchise player where ever he is. :) Actually, I'd like the Magics to win it all this year, cos of JRich!

Mello to the Knicks - RUMOR

I see from fellow Suns fans comments why they preferred getting rid of Amare for cap: They don't see Amare's true value at all! Amare is a great facilitator on offense moving without the ball, after perfecting his offensive positioning with Nash for so long and being such a force and threat if...

    Cavaliers @ Suns 1/9/11

Did I see JJ Hickson many thought would be better than Amare!~

Should the Suns Tank the Season?

You nailed the point! Guys like Dudley and Bowen would be incredible on a contender team with one or two superstars drawing all the attention. But they would have no real impact on a mediocre team whatsoever.

    Knicks Suns 1/7/11

The difference is, now Amare is calm enough not to be bothered by Hill's tight positioning/hassling and able to nail those contested 15 footers. And he did drive by Hill a couple of times for layups to keep Hill's feet on the ground. Amare later had problem with Gortat who constantly pushed and...

    Knicks Suns 1/7/11

The idea of putting Hill on Amare was surely due to their inside knowledge that Amare used to hate fronting by active smaller defenders the way Grant did to him. But they just underestimated Amare's ability to adjust, after having more experience dealing with all kind of defenses as a franchise...

Nash: We have no real kind of power forward

I don't think so. The only sensible move after letting Amare walk was to go into rebuilding mode right away. Warrick signing was fine. But Frye, Childress, and Hedo deals were nonsense.

    Worst team in the NBA?

    SMART!;)

    Knicks Suns 1/7/11

I think he wanted to get Felton in there to get the tripple-double, but didn't want to make it too obvious by sending him in alone.

    Knicks Suns 1/7/11

The difference is, due to Amare attracting 120% attention from the defense, NYK get OPEN 3s they sooner or later will make. In contrast, Suns 3pt shots are mostly contested.

    Knicks Suns 1/7/11

I know. Amare always gets frunstrated with little pushes here and there from guys like Gortat, Varajao. He'll have to learn how to deal with them. But he will get better there too.

    Knicks Suns 1/7/11

Suns defense is so bad. Too bad we don't have Amare to blame it on now. ;)

    Knicks Suns 1/7/11

Have the Suns already given up on the season? Just no emotion, no nothing in their demeanor.

    Knicks Suns 1/7/11

Gortats of the world indeed defend Amare quite well, at least at the start of the game. But Amare has gotten consistent chances to fail with the Knicks that he's improved a lot over the season to stay calm and not force the issue as often. In his Suns days, the team would just look elsewhere for...

Nash: We have no real kind of power forward

Nash signed when it was not sure whether Amare would ever come back healthy after the eye surgery. Last season was a surprise success, due to Amare's will to be a better player who, with help of JRich and the surprisingly good bench, rescued Suns season after the ASB. It was not planned nor...

    Suns@Kings

    Great performance!!:D

    Suns@Kings

Don't worry, after the ASB, we will take off like last year and make the WCF!
  23. cly2tw

    Blame this mess on who?

everybody who wanted Amare gone at market price without matching!
  24. cly2tw

    J-Rich and Turk to Magic

Hedo with +33 in their Christmas day win over Celtics. Hedo would have been successful on the Suns with Amare. Amare is underrated at "making teammates better", to use the cliche word.

12/23: Suns at Heat Game Thread

wow, Bosh is a really great jump shooter. No wonder he florishes under the wings of Wade and LBJ. ;)
