    Alec Peters

Triano didn't play Peters as much as he should ha should have. I'd take him over either Bender or Chriss. He is a bit too passive but if he'd have gotten some serious minutes that would probably would have gone away - he's not Benderesque.

We don't have a problem at PG until Kokoskov says we do!

    Alex Len Signs with Atlanta

I'm happy for Len to have a shot in a new setting. He played his best under Triano, basically playing within his limitations and I think matured a bit. Surprised that Atlanta signed for over 8 mil/2yr.

    Current (post draft) Roster

I started listening just as the Suns drafted Zharie and I was pleased with that... I was hoping for him or SGA as our shat at a PGOF. So far I think the way it worked out was better than my idea. I'm enjoying the thought that when we really need a stop at the end of a game we can trot out...

2018-19 Season | Point Guard Discussion

My guess is that heading into training camp Knight is the starter but I won't be surprised if Knight is supplanted by Okobo and Harrison within a couple of months. If we do bring in another PG, he will be the starter, BK will be pushed down on spot but loses that to - Harrison - Igor likes...

    Free Agency 2018

I haven't been following the Laker saga but Beasley is not a big problem for them. He's never performed for any other team like he did for us - he hit all time lows in virtually every category on the Suns.

Kokoskov: Brandon Knight is the starting PG for the Suns

True, except he's not a PG

    Welcome to Phoenix, Bridges

Thanks for posting the link, Bone, good read. I think Igor's offense will suit him... he will get opportunities to pass and make some plays in the normal course of events. (The article said that he works on his overall game with hopes of expanding his role in time.)

2018-19 Season | Point Guard Discussion

I don't think it is favoritism at all. I'd bet that Harrison would be claimed off waivers. He's likely flying below the radar for most teams but someone will notice and grab him. Hopefully, Igor will push for him to be retained as he values defense. I'm not sure I'd waive him instead of Reed...

    Do you want Kawhi?

Yup, except I want to pursue us, beg us to let him play with Ayton, Booker, Bridges! And agree to happily play PF whenever we want him to.

2018-19 Season | Point Guard Discussion

Harrison is already a serviceable point guard if you going to bring things down to that level. But if you're talking about a player developing into something remotely comparable to Harrison as a defender, it basically never happens. I haven't seen signs of especially good court vision from...

2018-19 Season | Point Guard Discussion

Don't you guys have any confidence in Kokoskov? By the end of training camp he will have Okobo and Harrison feeding Ayton in the post just fine - that's an obvious step 1, and it doesn't require anything but ordinary passes. The harder part is getting Ayton to set himself correctly and the...

2018-19 Season | Point Guard Discussion

I was duly surprised, Phraz! Looking down the road a bit, I think developing Okobo and Harrison is the best route to go. To go for the most wins this year a more experienced point might help but, unlike most everyone else, I don't think it's a big deal because both young guys can play right...

    Free Agency 2018

I'm glad you pointed out Shaq only played in three wins - it confirmed my recollection that he only played at the height of our tanking. Makes it all the more remarkable that he had a plus-minus of +5.8. For comparison, among all our regular rotation players the best plus minus was -8.8 (by...

    Free Agency 2018

If you are concerned with both O and D, I'm not sure that there is someone better. Most of where Harrison is falling short is running the offense and those skills are far more easily acquired than defensive skills. He hasn't even had a training camp nor played in a well organized offense and...

Spurs vs Suns SL Game Thread 7/13/18

It was a successful SL from my perspective. Harrison, Reed and Williams were the three guys I was concerned about making the team. I'm still concerned about Williams but I'm sure that Harrison and Reed cemented spots though it looks like Reed may still have an injury issue. If he stays...

    Current (post draft) Roster

It depends what what Williams lost permanently due to his injury - if he come back to his old form, he's our second best C. Better on offense and better on defense then either Chandler or Bender.

Yeah, but in the regular season his defender is going to know he's left handed.

    2019 Free Agency

We already have two good point guards on the team and neither of them has initials BK. They're already better at their jobs than anyone who might play Pf except Ariza, who probably won't be around the season after this upcoming one. Yup, they have a lot to learn but we're seeing improvement in...

    Microfracture in decline?

I think microfracture is a form of stem cell treatment - the holes they drill into the bone allow stem cells to diffuse into the area from marrow. When the cartilage is originally formed their is a matrix of strong fibers in which cartilage cells grow but there is no new matrix for the new...

Magic vs Suns SL Game Thread 7/9/18

Here's a post you could use to exercise a dislike button, if you had one. I'm not in favor of getting another PG. I don't think BK will keep Okobo and Harrisnon on the bench - he'll be exposed quickly on defense and he's not a good distributor either. He has a career ast/TO ratio of 1.6. I'd...

    Free Agency 2018

I'd guess that Igor is willing to give Knight a shot at PG and since he's senior he gets the label of starter for now. I don't interpret that to mean he's giving up on Okobo and Harrison. With his twenty years around the league I'm sure he knows the odds of BK ever being a passable defender...

Kokoskov: Brandon Knight is the starting PG for the Suns

I think E-gor is most common. I've never heard anyone say I-gor Stravinski.
