    2007 MLB Draft

6-6, with a fastball around 88-91 mph, sounds like a good prospect to draft.

    2007 MLB Draft

We did not offer Gonzo arbitration, therefore, we could not receive a draft pick for him.

    2007 MLB Draft

I agree, this draft is one of the deepest with HS talent in recent memory. I would much rather get a college pitcher than a high schooler, but that may be because I am from the Billy Beane school of thinking. However, this year, especially since the high school ranks is so deep and we have 3...

    2007 MLB Draft

If all the top pitching prospects are gone, then I would go with SS/3b Todd Frazier. He has done relatively well this year and could be that good power hitting third baseman of the future for the D'backs.

    2007 MLB Draft

I highly doubt we will be as pitcher orientated as the previous two years. We still have a surplus of outfielders in the minors (Upton, Gonzalez, Cyle Hankerd, Gerardo Parra, Chris Rahl, etc.) so there is no need to draft an outfielder. However, the system is relatively weak at both corners...

Phoenix Coyotes Season Thread - March/April

The Coyotes lost last night to Colorado 6-3. Shane Doan continues to put up good numbers since signing his new contract and Bill Thomas also scored a goal. Thomas now has 4 goals and 8 points in 13 games and has probably secured a spot on the team next year. JR added the third goal and is...

    Marlins interested in Jorge Julio

I don't know. Petit had a pretty awful season last year, even for a 21-year old (Triple-A = 4-6, 4.28 ERA, 97 IP, 68 Ks and Majors = 1-1, 9.57 ERA, 26 IP, 9 BB, 20 Ks). While he still have loads of potential, his velocity dipped into the mid-80's and, thus, has fallen far behind other pitchers...

Phoenix Coyotes Season Thread - March/April

I have to admit that I have never been high on Wheeler. However, the ranking for Yandle surprises me alot. I thought that with him strong play in the NHL for a few games this year, would have caught the attention of management. Brendan Bell has not impressed me at all, so I think that Yandle...

    Oleg Saprykin, Yanic Perreault traded

And another thing, why on earth did we get a young defense man? That is something that we DO have.

    Oleg Saprykin, Yanic Perreault traded

Looks like we are going to have a few years of experiencing the bottom of the NHL standings... and I mean the very bottom. At least we will get high draft picks...

Tellqvist, Zigomanis agree to 2-year contracts

http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/sports/articles/0216coyotesnb0216.html Ugh, if Tellqvist becomes the #1 goalie next year I think I might gouge out my eyeballs. He preformed well when he came over in the trade but since then has really dropped off. Also, if we can get a bag of...

    Draft Prospects thread

I really like Acie Law IV. He has played really well this year and is considered to be a mid to late lottery pick. If the Suns could package together the latter two of their first-rounders this year, they might be able to grab him.
