Tulowitzki Out Up to 2 months

Remember in 2005 when Clint Barmes was in the talks for Rookie of the Year... then he got injured. His career never really took off after that... but this opportunity provides him with a chance to show some teams what he can do as a starter. He has always impressed with his hustle and desire...

    Hey, this team deserves it....

Joined the club... I usually am not a homer and vote only for my team... but since I have come to the realization that everyone else voting (minus us of course ;)) is a homer, I am determined to have my votes out-homer the homers?

Down on the Farm - 2008 Edition

Matt Torra is a guy I have always been high on. Good to see that he finally getting back to form. He has good stuff and his resurgence greatly adds to our minor league pitching depth. I am really surprised by Barry Enright's struggles... I saw him pitch in Spring Training and thought he was...

Career ERA = 5.86 Average against = .304 Career WHIP = 1.532 K:BB ration = 2.01:1 I do agree he has been pitching better this year... however, I am sure a bunch of people still remember the Edgar from 2004. That might be why many people are down on him... which isn't entirely fair.

I agree... Haren does struggle later in the games, but I would take a tired Haren over an Albie Lopez any day of the week and fourteen times on Sunday. There is a bright side... if Edgar struggles, then we might see the first big league action for Max Scherzer.

The NBA, where.. happens... Won't show.. there is no way. He wouldn't be able to make it out of the arena.

Will Kendrick Perkins be suspended for Game 5?

You have to know that they are craving a Celtics vs Lakers final... I am dumbfounded... just dumbfounded... I do not understand this decision at all... Edit: I would love to hear Stern explain himself out of this one... Edit #2: "It was not deemed an altercation." wow... wow..........

Welcome to the big leagues Max Scherzer

He will take over Pena's job when Lyon loses his closer spot.

    is this rotation...

Jake Peavy Chris Young Greg Maddux Randy Wolf Justin Germano The Padres' starting staff is pretty good too, but is a little top heavy with Wolf and Germano bring up the rear. I would say that it is tough to name a better starting rotation than what the D'backs are throwing out there...

10 percent of the season gone!

With Reynolds having struck out 28 times already this season... he is on pace of more than 200 on the year! That would be quite an accomplishment.

I know having Scherzer in the rotation sounds promising.... but I do not think the D'backs can go wrong here... Look at this possible bullpen: Pena (new closer?), Scherzer, Qualls, Lyon, Cruz, and Slaten... that has the potential to be the best bullpen in the majors.

Don't forget about Juan Gutierrez. He pitched six innings giving up only one earned run. He and Billy Buckner represent the first starters who should be called up should Randy go down again if there are other injuries.

D-backs lock up Young for six years

I really love ESPN... not only do they believe that the Red Sox and Yankees are the only two teams in baseball... but after more than a year, they still have not learned how to correctly link Chris Young's profile with articles about him. Whenever one clicks on CY's name, it always leads to...

It is not really revenge for the end of last year, but it is nice to start the season with a sweep of the Rockies.
