    I agree with Harry. We only pick a QB as first pick if he is the best athlete available. In fact, I would only pick defensive players for a year or two so that a field goal will do it for us to win a game. IMO, most of the games we have lost in the past was due to lack of defense, NOT offense.

    Why would any team spend a #5 pick on a CB that needs to improve his coverage skills? We already have one of those...DRC. I would prefer that we select a defensive lineman or LB with a dislike for QBs.

    Mitch, is this your way of telling us that the wheels under our beloved Coach Whiz are starting to come off? I would warn Whiz, however, when you find your self deep in a hole, stop digging. Some changes are obviously needed and he has to make them or step aside.

    As incentive, dock them part of their weekly salary every time they cause a penalty before the ball is snapped, the QB missing the open receiver, the receiver dropping a ball he should have caught, and any player fumbling the ball. In the same way, give the player a bonus on causing the fumble...

    My issue with DA

    Unfortunately, we have more problems than our QB position if we can't run the ball, stop the run, or protect the QB. I do agree, however, Derek Anderson tends to throw high and that is a fatal flaw in the NFL.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Tampa Bay 2 and 0, and they have a lower salary cost than us. Dallas is 0 and 2 and they are $10 million UNDER. You can't just look at what a team's salary cost is and determine how committed the owner is. I think part of the team's problem is their culture...
