Barbosa Must Start!

I tend to agree--Barbosa seems too talented to not see the floor more. He has a knack for the game and a quickness that are unusual. Unfortunately, we won't see him start anytime soon, especially with the back injury he suffered tonight. I'll wait though--his time will come....

I'm not that ardent one way or another about the Penny v. JJ thing, but I do think he is serviceable, a solid defender, and could be part of a winning team. One thing though that gnaws at me that I began asking during last year's playoffs. Who would we rather have playing the 2 for us, JJ or...

Frank Johnson's Managment Style Article

This interview is revealing in that Penny kind of way. Frank seems to be more worried about his dethronement than he'd like. Kind of like the way he smiles toothily at the end of a disheartening loss--Frank is whistling past the graveyard.

I second that. There was a somewhat lame effort in the third q. to place Zarko in the middle of the zone and dump it into him and have him kick it out, as some suggested on this board as a solution. But that was quickly abandoned, probably when Casey was plunked into the mix. BTW, once...

I agree with Joe. The Suns guards seem to have zero interest in feeding the post, much less dishing off to Amare after a pick/screen and roll. Oddly, they've managed to do it with both White and Voskuhl, but never Amare. Maddening. BTW, what is wrong with Jake's hair? It's like a modified...

Suns bothered by zone... duh

The money shot in this article was Young's leading with the Frank stitches anecdote. He played it for laughs, but he clearly did not cut himself watching game film. So how did Frank cut himself????:p

Mixed feelings. Good job hanging with them, but most of that was due to Marbury's toughness, and some good spells by Johnson, Jake, and yes Marion. Little credit goes to FJ, who clearly has no offensive scheme other than to run those high picks for Marbury. This must be exhausting for him...

Good point, JC, but no minutes for Barbosa, at all? A weird call--win games now or showcase possible trade-bait to win in the future? I'm going to assume he's still hurting and give FJ a pass for now.

I might have missed this buried deep within the sixteen page thread on the game, but I'm still wondering if anyone knows why Barbosa saw no minutes last night? FJ liked him in the preseason. Could it be the hip? Or was it a dispensation to Casey J? A bad move, in that case....Not sure he...

Anyone know why Barbosa was a DNP? I know he had a hip bruise, but they said it wasn't serious. I watched the TNT broadcast. I assume Al McCoy covered it on the radio. If he didn't play because of a coach's decision then I am completely baffled by FJ's judgement.:confused:
