    Week 1 FA Arizona Cardinals

Mitch, My conclusions are that Keim did about as well as could be expected in targeting talent, but that he probably played 'hard line' just enough to lose out on some talent, ie. Bryan Orakpo, who signed instead with LeBueau and Wiz in Tennessee. At this juncture, I am not so sure that they...

    Finally-----

Gandhi and Zeno-----you both might be right. Now that Orakpo has signed, and it is less looking like AP is a likely signing, it may be that Keim has money to compete for Wisniewski with, and to add a lesser pass rusher. That might be what the problem was all along-----(Pete Carrol).

OT - AFSN Golf Tourney Idea..

I am waaayyyy past my golfing days, but I believe this to be a great idea. Nice work guys and I hope that you are able to get it done.

Am I the only one that thinks we should...

I don't believe that you are alone at all in this thinking. I have seen several 'expert' mock drafts that have indicated the same sentiments as you do. I too like the idea of drafting Kendricks or Thompson with our #24 pick. Either would be very complimentary to the FA signing of Sean...

    Finally-----

-----the Cardinals have made the one move that has been missing in our offensive line since the days of Deuce Lutui. With the signing of Mike Iupati, we now have the guard with 'beast mode' mentality who can impose his will on opposing defensive tackles and open holes for running backs to...

Dan Williams puts out a classy farewell!!!

He came in as Dumpster Dan, and set about doing everything that was asked of him. He lost weight, got stronger, got in shape, and stopped the run and occupied blockers, (multiple). He has been class all along, and I wish him very well indeed, and express thanks for all he did to help our defense.

MJ dropping names of who we will pursue in FA

Thanks OSCF----I was not aware of all the baggage. I was merely going by a single report on Walter Football where they said he may have turned his life around. This does sound like D-Wash and we certainly don't need one of these guys feeding off the other.

MJ dropping names of who we will pursue in FA

I just don't buy into spending so much for Justin Houston. I can see the Cards spending to get C, Wisniewski, G, Bolig, ILB, McClain, and OLB, Durant. I believe that Keim could do that for in the vicinity of 16 Mil or so. We have nearly that much available now, and would gain more by...

"They're going after a Guard and a Center in free agency"

Hudson is going to be expensive. I think we could sign both Stefen Wisniewski AND Clint Boling for about the price we would have to pay for Hudson. The fact that we already have a inroad to the Raiders with Palmer and Veldheer will help. You are right about Boling. He is nearly on the same...

    Dockett Deserved Better

I am sad to see DD go to San Francisco. I respect the time and effort he put in here with the Cardinals, and the blood, sweat, and tears he lost doing it. What I have a hard time respecting is that he is doing exactly what he called Dansby out on for leaving for better money. If one lives in...

A msg. from NSDF..I'm FINE (really), but...

Mark, you have always been kind and considerate. You truly do live life by the 'Golden Rule', "doing unto others as you would have them do to you". You are one of the most genuinely caring persons I know, and I am truly proud to know you!

Brett Hundley: Playing for Cardinals would be dream come true

Thanks for the head's up. I had read that UCLA played him in the gun because he was poor at reading defenses and that they would simply flash a card so that he would know how to run the play.

    RB in the Cards future

Not to worry over this SissyBoy. I have 'old man' days all the time. A great many of us on this board fully understand your predicament.

Brett Hundley: Playing for Cardinals would be dream come true

Mitch, I have been intrigued with Hundley as well. He does possess all the tools. Has good footwork and is accurate and strong enough to make ALL the throws (with touch). Has shown that he can step up into the pocket while keeping his eyes down field, and is an adept runner once forced out of...

    You Do The BASKing

Wow Mitch !!! What a wonderful thread and a fun filled exercise. I especially liked the Free Agency part. While the draft part was interesting, I found it to be somewhat off and on concerning who was available and when. FREE AGENCY: While I passed on the sexy picks for the most part...

If we don't address our LB needs in FA .....

sissyboy, I think that you will see us address the LB position in both free agency and the draft. I could see us taking someone like Justin Durant OLB of the Cowboys, and then starting the draft with an ILB like Erik Kendricks of UCLA and going from there to add more edge rushers.

    Per MJ

K-9, like you I don't know what the thinking of the Front Office is concerning Williams at this point, BUT I am very happy to hear you say that they have earned some patience and faith at this point. I agree with that, and believe that they have a plan and a backup plan.

lots of comments recently about we will be aggressive in FA

If they clear what I think they can-----then I would consider the following as signings in free agency. Center: Stefen Wisniewski, Oakland, or Rodney Hudson, K.C. OLB: Justin Durant, Dallas ILB: Craig Robertson, Cleveland OG: Orlando Franklin, Denver, or Clint Boling, Cincinatti TE...
