    My expectations were that the Cardinals would be blown away. They were much better than I expected and could have won the game. I strongly disagree with those who say Arians is a bad coach. He had to play with the hand he was dealt which unfortunately included Levi Brown.

    Let's hope the temp is much lower come the end of the month. There were two big advantages of Flag. Cooler weather and higher altitude. Many athletes go to Flag for training because of the altitude.

    RUMOR: Charges against D-Wash dropped - can anyone else verify?

    I would have thought the Cardinals would have had a clause in the contract that says the large payment due next year would be pro-rata reduced to the extent Washington does not play this season because of suspensions. That certainly would help motivate him to keep out of trouble.

    This is not a typical signing. It is very high risk. I would spread the signing bonus over each week of the season. If he tests bad, he forfeits the rest of the bonus. This would also give his agent an incentive to keep him straight.

    Because of one day? I think it was Urban yesterday who had quite a good column on ESPN why Cardinal fans should not be so distraught at this time. There are a lot more things to happen and its best to wait and see what develops.

    I agree. Look around at all the OCs and Dcs that used to be HCs. Horton is a good defensive coordinator but that doesn't mean he would be a good head coach. Better to sign him to a good contract as DC. Speaking of former OCs that became a head coach and failed, add Whiz to the list.

    Reading all the Skelton haters posting here, I wonder if I saw the same game they did. Why talk about Skelton when Lindley obviously was out of his league thanks to a stupid decision by Whiz to start him. I must have missed the bad throws by Skelton today.

    It is the end with the Cardinals unless Lindley gets hurt. I can't see Whiz reversing himself and putting Skelton back in unless Whiz has no other choice. The best thing for Skelton right now is to be cut by the Cardinals and hope another team will pick him up.

    Whiz really thinks he is smarter than everyone else

    I do not think Whiz is temperamentally suited to be a head coach. Think back to the negative comments he made about individual players. I think he has quarterbacks scared of making a mistake which results in their lack of confidence and more mistakes.

    Well I am sure if you watched Eli Manning today and applied the same standard you do for Skelton you would say that Manning should be cut.
