    First, the clock stops on a punt. Second, now you are advocating for using a second timeout to save LESS than 4 seconds. Timeouts can easily save you 10 seconds, even on offense, so you save them for that. Always. Period.

    Not really. The Bucs going 2-2 (3 division games and the Cowboys) and a bunch of .500 teams losing 1 is not long odds at all. (Of course, the long odds are a 5-6-1 team winning 4 in a row...)

    Agree 100% on the crying about penalties. Losers mentality. Shut up and move on, just like with injuries. Don't agree on Palmer. He is taking a beating, and standing in there like a champ. Putting him on a goat list when he's one of the few that just keep plugging along is incorrect.

    I'm not generally a conspiracy theorist, but that sequence may have made me into one. Seriously, is the NFL just ensuring that Seattle wins, or are the refs that intimidated in that place that they have to let Seattle win. You wouldn't see something that stupid in an Adam Sandler movie.

    Lost in last night's most recent special team abomination was that Bethel was back last night. He leveled the punt returner on a perfectly timed hit and came all the way across the field to obliterate the gunner who had broken free on our punt return. Also had a kickoff tackle inside the 20.

    In some ways we are better. Namely Defense and Running Game. Also, we are going to have to play right until the end, so we are not going to have a stinker no show like last year with Seattle to head into the playoffs on a down note. We're not perfect, by any means. But we are definitely not toast.

    I'm not going to complain about that play. That was a great play by a great player. There are about 5 other places we completely blew that game. The guards are going to have to account for that in the future.

    This will not be popular, but the math on that says that we would have had 20 seconds left at about our 25 yard line with no timeouts. I think there's as much likelihood of fumbling the punt or getting some strip sack in that situation. We were outplaying them, just take OT there.

    If you cut every player that makes a mistake, you will have an entirely new roster every week. He drilled a long one earlier in OT. As Rosenbaugh says, Amos Jones must go.
