    From that same great o-line with Dierdorf you've got Tom Banks and Conrad Dobler. Banks was a multiple ProBowler and I think he was All Pro at least once.

    Powell is our best RB (per Marshall Faulk)

    The biggest difference that I saw is that they actually ran plays designed to go outside of the tackles with Powell several times. I can't remember more that a handfull of runs to the outside in all the previous games combined.

    Any word on the Dockett injury? Williams went out late too limping but it looked like they were treating it as a cramp.

    All signs point to a better defense this year but they may not get the statistical credit they deserve (again). Yards-per-game or points-per-game are the usual yardsticks but with the offense looking so iffy, the D is probably going to be on the field quite a bit. I've always thought the best...

    Hartwell a stud!

    I like this possibility. Everyone has been focused on a big tackle to upgrade the run defence but there hasn't been much discussion (if any) of a monster middle linebacker. Is this guy a first and second down only type or can he pass defend too?
