Actually the schizo referrence made me laugh and I can relate more than you can ever imagine and much respect.

That being said Kobe has immense talent and I never said he doesn't.
Yet! The man is a punk.
Example. T.O. or Larry Fitzgerald?
Both with great talent. Who do you appreciate more?
Who do you equate Kobe with?
That's not fair. Fitzgerald is quite a bit better than T.O. Fitz is the best WR in the game and maybe T.O. never was. Kobe is the best player in basketball. In that way I would chose Fitz.

Yet! The man is a punk.
Any relevant info to back that up, or just your personal opinion?
I'm not really a Laker fan, but at least Kobe doesn't cry like Lebron when he loses.

I equate Kobe with Anquan Boldin, whom I also love like ridiculousity. Cocky, driven, HARD WORKER and bad ass. Love 'em both.

I also appreciate TO's talent...he's a great player. Insane, but great.

Does it help your understanding that Ron Artest, god love his demented mind, is probably one of my ten favorite players in the NBA? I love his aggressive nature, his anger and fight, and his don't give a f attitude.

So yes, if Kobe were on another team I'd not be a hater. I'd respect him. Unless he was a Celtic. That's just another story. But any other team and I'd say, damn...that dude is good. Fun to watch when he isn't torching my team. But damn is he an cornholio. And that's almost EXACTLY how I felt about Jordan. Seriously.

C'mon, if you were following that at all you'd know that if there was anything to "run down" it would be on her face. And that it didn't get to go there in the first place, and instead in the wastebasket (which they threw out because Eagle PD is incompetent and didn't investigate issues from their own interview). But I know nothing of that silly episode of Golddiggers Anonymous.

I just don't recall MJ crying to the refs on every damn whistle... I mean, you're up 30 points for crying out loud and STILL he's crying to the refs...

But no doubt, there is Kobe, with LeBron a few notches below, and then there is everyone else... Nobody in the game today is remotely close to Kobe.

-19
Lewis was the most negative with a -26, Pietrus was -23, Turkoglu was -20, and Howard was -19 as well.
Lewis got killed inside tonight. Which is exactly what would've happened had they played Boston when the C's didn't have to play Brian Scalabrine 25 minutes a night. Cleveland had no interior scoring other than LeBron's slashing.

I don't recall being able to whine to the refs back then like you can now. That seems like such a new thing. The pleading and groaning for hours at a ref. The game was much faster back then, FWIR, to waste time bitching to the refs. The slowdown game coincided with the "awwww, ref, come on, jeez man, ahh, man...did you see that pi = blah blah blah" kind of stuff.

And Phil, love him to death, but why was Kobe and Pau in the game with 5 on the clock? Jeez Phil...come on. HEALTHY!!!!!

I think it's more a statement on the person than it is that the game itself has changed Donald...

And man - I was wondering the same thing about Kobe being in so late in the game... WHY??????

More like Adulterers Exposed.

Wow...so the dude cheats. Wow. Add him to about 70 percent of the league, but just make him the poster child for all of them.

Ridiculous. Of course he cheats. So do most of the idiots with way too much money and way too many groupies throwing their fake breasts and easy sex at them every single moment they can. Welcome to the world of celebrity, wealth and power. But yeah, just single out Kobe for being the only idiot in the league in that regard.

I just don't get the arguments against the guy.

One of the best basketball players I've ever seen...yet people are too worried about OTHER crap to appreciate what he does. At least Mickael Pietrus has an appreciation for the dude he simply can't guard: "everyone knows in this room that he's a legend. What can you do?"

His off-court crap doesn't matter. I watch basketball, not adultery and drug use and family time and whatever else happens outside the 48 minutes that I actually care about 100 days a year.

How many NBA championships has Phil Jackson won as a HC? I'm not about to question his decision making, he knows the game better than anyone.

I disagree...it's a total game change. People are SOOOO in the refs these days. All the time. Kobe is just an example that gets away with it, like LeBron gets away with taunting every other play. But ffs, KG should be ejected every other game the way he spews venom at refs and players. Ridiculous.

True, which is why he's either sold his soul to the devil (hello, Jeannie is STILL hot) or he's the luckiest man alive because he continues to pull weird crap like inserting starters late in blowout games.

But, he's got the 9 rings, not me.

Here's part of why I adore Kobe. His trainer.

"There are no shortcuts. There's no substitute for hard work. Luck is when preparation meets opportunity. You saw that in Game 3 when Kobe hit that 3. That's not luck. He's prepared to take that shot. We've hit him with pads while taking that shot. When the opportunity came on, he took it.

Dude is the most conditioned, most prepared, most focused NBA player in the game today. If you can't respect that, even if you don't admire it like I do, then I don't know if I can trust things that you do respect. He's a dick for sure, a Dedicated Individual Conditioned to Kill (as our drill sergeant used to call us recruits).

Kobe, in my eyes, is the best player in the league, which basically makes him the best player in the world. He's possibly one of the most clutch shooters in history, and has the ability to carry the team on his shoulders. Lebron is great, but he doesn't have that killer instinct that Kobe possesses. If the MVP voting started today, Kobe would be MVP hands down.

If you think for a nano second that a whole sky scraper full of lawyers, with bags of cash, did not descend on that town to make it go away, I am sorely disappointed in you.

These threads can't be moved into the "Other NBA" forum fast enough. I am going to throw up if I have to read the word "Lakers" in the Suns forum one more time. I already can't stand some of my fellow Cardinal fans as a result of it.

Please say you'll join us in the other forum? We would so miss your cheerful demeanor! :D

Because with a 25 point differential and no Kobe and Gasol, the East coast switches off. Too late to watch a coast home with a win. Stern wins. Gotta sell the Gatorglug and Big Macs.
