It's not a conflict of interest at all. Different teams in different sports.

You're not from here either, but none of us would be busting your balls if you cheered for a team from Wisconsin or Colorado.

I would be...Unless that is where he is from. (Which may be what you are implying). Like I said before, if you have no ties to that city then you are simply a bandwagon fan. :)

Care to explain why you care that I care?

Because the kind of fans that don't ride the ups and downs with their team but simply follow the team that has the most history of success and/or are currently having success are cowardly, annoying, and cheap. They are the kind that come in here and talk crap only when "their team" is winning when last year "their team" was probably the Celtics or another frontrunner. The classy fans tend to be the ones who follow the team more and could tell you more about the team and the bandwagon fans tend to know very little about the team except that they are winning which is the sole reason that they are now "their team" yet they couldn't name all 14 players on the roster if their life depended on it.

I was just wondering. If you didn't want to respond, you didn't have to respond.

Above I stated that this is only my opinion and that doesn't make my view of the issue right or wrong as I know probably the majority of people disagree with me on this. I realize that people are fans of certain teams for a number of different reasons, but my reasoning has always stemmed from state pride as opposed other reasons like style of play, certain players, the person who raised them or any other reason people become fans of certain teams. Because state pride is the reasoning for the teams I love, I give people a hard time for liking teams out of state. I view it almost like I was rooting for another country in the Olympics (to a much, much, much lesser extent obviously because of all the things that play into being part of this incredible country). It's a state pride thing to me just as the Olympics are a country pride thing for me (but like I said to a lesser extent).

so,
i'm a bandwagon from from your opinion?

Do you have any ties to that city? Or anyone in your family have any ties? If not then I guess so :) .

Don't everybody get offended and start taking things personal and pull the "You callin me a bandwagon fan?" thing. I am just a stupid guy writing his opinions on a message board. Who cares what I think?

I know Fisher was just comparing how he knew why the Magic went to Howard first, that they did it to Shaq, but I AM TIRED of the comparisons....

Go back in time, Shaq vs. Dwight at the same age, SHAQ WOULD DOMINATE.

Obviously we all knew that this would be your opinion on the Shaq vs. Dwight issue. That's not a bad thing because I know your a huge Shaq fan. I am curious as to what your reasons for feeling that Shaq would dominate Howard when both are at age 23. I am not saying your wrong, I am just curious to here you back up your claim with your reasoning for feeling that way. I want a Andrew break down of the "Age 23 Dwight" vs. "Age 23 Shaq".

I'll answer for Andrew.

Shaq had low post moves at that age.

Sure, the guy relied on his power and size, but he did have legit low post moves. At least more than Dwight has. Dwight is terrible about 2 feet from the rim. His 4 foot "shot" looks like Shaq's free throw...a chuck at the basket.

Shaq was just physically more talented, enough of a breakdown for you lol? His low post play would destroy Dwight, he was a lot thinner back then, but the dude could bang with a lot tougher dudes than Dwight at that age.

It's really simple. Shaq was hell of a lot more dominant due to his size and strength. Howard is definitely a better defender than Shaq, but on the other side of the floor it is not even close. Shaq is a freak of nature. In addition to his size and strength, he was also extremely athletic, and was always a much smarter player than Howard. He always had low post moves, and the ability to pass the ball.

It's really not a knock on Howard- he is a terrific player, but he is no Shaq.

I agree completely. I was just looking for the claim to be supported with reasoning.

Nice. Kobe with 9.1 left on the clock takes it 1 on 4 and gets blocked from behind.

Pass it to the open guys !!!

Uggggh. I hate the Lakers, but throughout the playoffs they have shown that they play their best basketball in the most important times. Thats what it takes to be a champion and they are showing that they can. I hate them with all my heart, but they are the NBA's best.

Agreed! They also need Howard to be more of a scoring threat. I lost $30M on his lack of scoring tonight.

Awesome play drawn up by Van Gundy at the end of the 4th. Use Howard as a decoy and give the rookie a chance to win it. Hopefully he doesn't become Nick Anderson and lose the ability to make layups.

That's not going to happen as Howard is a dud offensively.

In these playoffs he was held to 10 points, 11 points, 4x 12 points, 16 points, 2x 17 points and 18 points.
