So? Let's say for the sake of argument that Wade and James get more preferencial treatment than Kobe. It's still wrong to get ANY preferential treatment. Which I think was part of the point of elindholm's post.
It's like what Mulli said - if you don't like it then why do you watch? Stars in this league have always gotten preferential treatment and most likely always will. Right or wrong, most of us have come to accept it.

What do the Suns have to do with this? Nashman, and I'm not one to defend that lunatic, didn't bring the Suns into it. He referenced the Lakers, the Nuggets and the Cavs.
It's simply a product of the general paranoia that permeates this board. People insisting that refs are showing bias to the [insert hated team du jour here] is one of it's symptoms.

In all seriousness, we're never going to be a championship team until the organization and it's fans start looking in the mirror instead of searching for non-existent boogeymen.

You are right, a team's chances of winning a championship are highly dependent on their fans' ability to look into a mirror.

It's still wrong and when it is relevant, like in the middle of a playoff series, people should be free to point it out.

If you can't refute the particular team bias, then you have no complaint. Pointing out the bias, if present, doesn't have anything to do with the Suns.

Did I read you wrong? You just called him out for not accepting that stars getting preferential treatment, then called the board paranoid for saying they do.

I know they do, I think it hurts the game. It's insulting to fans and the only people that don't care are fans of the teams that get the most benefit of the practice. JMO.

Gasol also isn't among the leaders in T's for yelling at officials.

If Amare expects to get the benefit of the doubt from officials he needs to become an actual superstar player and lay off the refs.

Gasol is superstar?:(

MaoTosi not sure how I referenced the Suns in any way guess you just assume things. I simply pointed out the obvious the refs are giving the Lakers and Cavs lots of call and non calls to keep things going! The Cavs would be done already in this series if not for giving the Cavs points and horrible calls, and the Lakers would likely be down in their series as well, if you can't see that well lets just say your not paying attention. Oh and watching and seeing clearly ridiculous calls left and right has nothing to do with the Suns and its very relevant to the thread and whats been going on.

Ah well, the refs got the memo from Stern this time.

Nuggets didn't show up much in the first half. Then they try to make a run and the Fakers get to manhandle the everloving crap out of them each time down the court with no call.

The NBA needs to fix it's refing problems. Period. For all the teams.

And all the players really need to stop whining after non calls. It's been old for a long time now.

Might be time for a new commissioner...

And K Mart is still a bonehead. The rest of the Nugs are mostly keeping their cool so far...

And the Fakers are pretty good when they are allowed to play grabby defense and get in their rhythm. Just like the other remaining playoff teams. That's what stinks about the way the NBA officiates the playoffs. Whichever team is allowed to get away with more 'tough defense' (ie, hacking) than the other team in a given playoff game usually wins. Ugly basketball to watch.

I'd actually love to see the Lakers and the Nuggets run it out in a game that followed the normal rules for both sides. Be fun to watch. Both teams have a lot of talent being wasted hacking at each other.

That Gasol guy is keeper, I tells ya...so sad they had to trade half the team to get him...oh wait...

Looks like it will be Magic vs Lakers in the finals, I pick the Magic because they are the lesser of the 2 evils.

Good for Denver. Even though they were the second seed, no one really thought they would get this far in the playoffs, nor give the Lakers a legit run for their money. Hats off to the Nugz. Hopefully they can learn from this and give it a run again next year. Carmelo is growing up and will keep getting better.

And congrats to the Lakers (grrrr). I am not a Kobe or Phil Jackson fan and am appalled at how the league steered Gasol to LA, but I really did not think they had it in them to play the last two games like they did. Houston really put them off their game.

Anyone know who matches up better to the Lakers between Cleveland and Orlando?

If you're rooting against the Lakers, in my opinion you want to see Orlando. The Magic swept the Lakers this year, as opposed to the Cavs that were swept by the Lakers. The Magic likely beat the Lakers in 5 games.

No one's going to beat anyone in five games this Finals. The league won't permit it. Even the Redeem Team against the WNBA developmental league all-sophomore team would go at least six.

Well Klod, I'll be in Portland from the 9th -12th, so I'll be watching 2 of the Finals games in your town. Where should I go to watch them - what are the best sports bars type places?
