About what most would expect to see in LA a fairly even game then all of a sudden in the fourth the home cookin calls start flowing....awesome game until the 4th qtr. The only way the Nuggets win a game in LA again in this series would have to be a blowout because if its close the refs will take care of it.

It wasn't even called in the game its kinda crap they come back and review it and make it a flagrant. Don't think they come back and review all of Kobes' elbows and issue him flagrants and their are LOTS of them! Screw the crybaby Lakers they need to man up and play ball and stop whining or they are quickly going to out of the playoffs.
manned up.

Ummm I wouldn't say manned up while they did play a little tougher, all of a sudden late in the game lots of calls started going their way. Bogus fouls on Nene, technicals, and 1's just to name a few. While the Nugz were taking it to the rack with LOTS of contact and getting no calls. Its the same crap I expected to see and the same crap we will see in game 7 in LA...(well as long as game 6 is called fairly)!

They did a breakdown of Denver's shot selection on The Herd this morning.

Shots in the paint:

2nd qtr: 2 out of 12 shots

3rd qtr: 4 out of 14 shots

4th qtr: 3 out of 10 shots

The Lakers were the aggressor so they got to the line. Denver settled for jump shots, so they didn't get to the line. How many jump shooters get to the free throw line? None.

Without taking sides, I have to call that claim of the 4th quarter complete bias. They are obviously not including the supposed blocks/steals in the paint of which I watched the Lakers get far more arm than ball and no calls were made. No, they're just using the chart from ESPN that is a result of the calls made, not necessarily what happened. Just my observation.

Whatever Mulli are you a Lakers fan because you sure sound like one? Pau had ONE foul thats total BS and they fouled out Nene with at least 3 bogus foul calls, it was a total hose job just because they waited until the 4th to do it doesn't make it less obvious to those with EYES only Laker fans think the last qtr was fairly officiated sorry it was blatant home court refs making sure the Lakers were able to win. Think what you want Mulli any unbiased fan could see that as much as they can see the refs trying to help out the Cavs! Hopefully Denver can fight through the bias ref crap so we can see the better team in the finals.

Bias? Based on what? If you ever listen to The Herd, you would know that they are about as unbiased about the NBA as anyone.

I am pulling for the Lakers. I can clearly see the refs give the Cavs many ridiculous calls. Interesting how the Magic continuously overcome those bad calls (so far).

Jeez, you sound like a broken record. The Lakers never won a game without the benefit of the officials.

Why do you bother watching the NBA, since it's so obviously rigged?

A home team getting calls in the fourth quarter of a playoff game? I have never heard of such a thing!

They are using the outcome to make a claim, not the actual events. I didn't say they were bias towards one team or another. What they did was use the refs calls and make claim to it being fact. If you watched the game, are you really going to tell me that there were only 3 attempts in the paint by Denver. A "block" does not count as an attempt, and what I witnessed were several "blocks" called in favor of the Lakers. Just a peek at the stat sheet shows they were awarded 12, Gasol 5 himself. Like I said, I only watched the 4th q, but I saw Gasol get all arm on at least 2 of the blocks he was credited with. Denver did take it to the basket far more than 3 times in the 4th.

If Gasol had been refereed last night the way Stoudemire usually is, he would have had about 17 fouls.

Gasol also isn't among the leaders in T's for yelling at officials.

If Amare expects to get the benefit of the doubt from officials he needs to become an actual superstar player and lay off the refs.

In all seriousness, we're never going to be a championship team until the organization and it's fans start looking in the mirror instead of searching for non-existent boogeymen.

First of all, elindholm wasn't in any way referring to technical fouls. Second of all Kobe Bryant yells at the refs WAY more than Amare Stoudemire, which furthers the double standard.

And you can make a good argument that Kobe doesn't receive nearly the preferential treatment as the other two best players in the league in Dwayne Wade and Lebron.

You want special treatment? Stop acting like an a-hole.

What do the Suns have to do with this? Nashman, and I'm not one to defend that lunatic :)D), didn't bring the Suns into it. He referenced the Lakers, the Nuggets and the Cavs.

So? Let's say for the sake of argument that Wade and James get more preferencial treatment than Kobe. It's still wrong to get ANY preferential treatment. Which I think was part of the point of elindholm's post.
