all in all, nice games. you could see both team would score 120 a game against the Suns and route us in 4.

KMart has been stepping up this season for the Nugs. Melo appears to have shed some weight so that he could defend Kobe fairly well now. Billups is the best that happened to a group of huge talented players underachieving for years.

Except that Billups didn't.

So we will have to agree to disagree. However, again for the sake of argument, lets say Billups didnt ever have his hands on the ball prior to Nene getting involved. Then the proper call is time out Lakers because Kobe was calling for it just a Billups was reaching PRIOR to Nene's involvment. Doesn't matter anyway. Game is over and Denver got the W.

Regardless, it's its not the reason the Lakers lost. All the comments were sarcastic in reference to the typical Suns fan griping about calls and conspiricies. I never blame the refs for a loss. If your team is good enough... it should never put itself in a position to let a call or two decide their fate.

Was a good game and the Lakers have nobody to blame but themselves for the loss.

Phil Jackson needs to take some SERIOUS heat for this game. He can shove the rings...he made some very ridiculous coaching errors tonight.

First, riding the bench WAY too long in the 2nd quarter before bringing the starters in, after Denver got the momentum back. He preaches closing and starting quarters, yet didn't put them in a good position there and they blow a big lead. 14-2 run by Denver.

Second, he gave very little run to Bynum in the second half, despite a strong game from Bynum in keeping the Nuggs out of the paint. What happened in the 4th? Lots of Nuggs in the paint, lots of rebound putbacks...lots of stuff that Bynum would have made MUCH more difficult. Let the young man play when he's playing well. I understand when his head isn't in the game, but he WAS in the game...keep pulling that kind of crap and his head will be in the Xbox, and the Lakes will be watching the magic and Nuggs in the Finals.

Third, with about 5 left and the Lakers back in the game, with some momentum, and Shannon Brown being very aggressive and smart with the ball, Phil brings FISH back in...Fish, who missed three layups in about 5 minutes. Fish, who is shooting like crap in the playoffs so far. Fish, who isn't giving any momentum to the squad...and the energy level tails off, and we're in a point trading fest, which ultimately will lead to huge possessions at the end, and finally an airball from Fish. Now, listen...I LOVE Fish, always have..but he isn't helping right now. I'd rather have had Brown OR Farmar take that corner three...or Ariza. I get it if you want to have Fish get the lid off and try to get him hot for the rest of the playoffs, but with five minutes left he would have been better off on the bench, cheering the team on.

Phil wasted a fantastic effort by Ariza and Kobe tonight, and stunted Bynum in the start of a good game. Phil outcoached himself, and made George friggin Karl of all people look good. Wow.

Nene got there once Billups and Gasol were already tied up. Lakers got screwed for a change.
I'm really impressed with Denver though. Melo flat out outplayed Kobe, Billups is still the most underrated player in the league, and KMart, Nene and the Stoner are making people forget about Camby.

I disagree on two counts: Melo didn't outplay Kobe, and Melo is the most underrated player in the league BY FAR. Bububububububillups gets his props quite a bit with his ring and his string of conference finals appearances. He's plenty hyped. Melo is easily eligible to be in the Wade/Kobe/Bron discussion of best NBA player, but NOBODY ever puts him there.

Lakers cry and moan every play. Kobe stompin' his feet like a 2 year old. Bunch of lil' *******. Nuggets will take the next two in Denver.

Bet your million ASFN dollars that they will?

1 million, you against me...Denver doesn't avoid the split in the altitude.

Lakers get at least one there.

You down to put your fake money on the line?

Air / Gasol's head... 6 of one, half dozen of another. :D

Point though, it was clearly Nene that should have been jumpin'.

Does it matter? Gasol would have won the tip regardless.

Should be 2 - 0 Nuggs.... Denver has outplayed the Fakers in both games.

Kobe is an amazing talent. But he is also one of the biggest babies. I'm so tired of his antics everytime a call doesn't go his way.

Heart Donald... you got it. Your time doesn't... This could be slipping away from your team.
Fakers are a very good road team. They will need all of their road mojo the next few games!

GO NUGGS!!!!!!

Kobe loves playing in Colorado...let the rape jokes fly.

This series is waaay on. Phil blew this game, and he better tighten the freaking ship and get them rolling in Denver.

Regardless, IMO the Magic will beat the Cavs in the East, and even IF the Lakers advance, the matchups against the quick PG, large frontcourt, three point bombing Magic who waxed us twice in the regular season would mean another loss in the Finals for my beloved Lakes.

So I'm pulling for Kobe and LeBron...just like Nike. :)

I don't see how you could say that, at all.

The Lakers outplayed the Nuggets in this game, and crumbled at the end.

The Nuggs outplayed the Lakes in the first game, and crumbled at the end.

Both teams have shown that they are pretty evenly matched, and this series will come down to when each team goes on a run, and how long they can sustain it until the other starts their own run. Basketball is a game of runs, drilled into all players' heads from their first competitive games...teams will go on runs, and you'll go on runs. Sustaining yours and stopping theirs is the real key...not possessions..runs. First game ended with a Lakers run. This game ended after a Lakers run and in the lull between runs.

To me, that's what makes basketball interesting.

I still think Denver has been the better team in both games, but I am a Faker-hater so....... ;)

And as for the runs - you're right... The NBA is synonomous with RUN! But, the truth is the victory is not so much about how many runs or the length of your runs, but rather it's all about 4th quarter stops... Runs are a given. Every NBA team puts up runs... The champions are those teams that consistently produce 4th quarter stops. Biggest reason why the Suns never won a Championship.

Fakers? Oh, wow - I see what you did with the L...replaced it with an F.

Man, that's just hilarious. Wow. Pat yourself on the back for that one.

I'm not betting on basketball. I'm betting on Klod.

(because I know he won't back down from it).

No bet for you, O. You haven't been an irritant. I simply want to empty Klod's bank account and this is a great opportunity.

You know that line was mocking you, but of course I'll bet you, but not on your terms, I'll bet $500k per game. Remember how Laker's will win this series easy, how the Nugs aren't as good as the Rockets (who only won games cuz the Laker's didn't want it), and how Anthony only scores 14 a game vs. the Lakers. I'll enjoy your posts following each game about how the Laker's lost because of this and that, yet never able to admit they aren't the better team. Irritant I am. :D

Someone should set up a prop bet where this series being 2-2 after four games pays even money and either team being up 3-1 pays something ridiculous like 4:1.

But I thought the Lakers would get swept in Denver!! You said! You predicted it.

Come on Klod, if you want to put up $500K, then just go the whole million.

Denver isn't the more talented team, but they are playing like they are just as talented. Phil is doing his damnedest to make sure that they win, too. I admit that to date Phil is getting out coached by George freaking Karl of all people. You are the guy saying they aren't very talented, and are overrated (despite winning 65 freaking games in the Western Conference).

I said Lakes would beat Denver in 5 or 6. Both of those options are still open. BTW, I also have said multiple times the Lakers would lose pretty hard to the Magic. And I think the Magic will beat the Cavs. So my team likely won't win the Finals this year, if my OR your predictions hold true. Oh well.

So, one million on the line...Lakers win 1 of 2, you pay me. Denver wins both, I pay you. What do you do, Klod? WHAT...DO...YOU...DO??? :D

I never said swept. I said they would lose both in Denver just to get under your skin. Thinking back to a few weeks ago I recall your prediction that L.A. would win the next 4 after losing game one and Shane asking you to bet, you said no. It took me a long time to get to a million so no I'm not going to bet A$FN, but I'll tell you what... if Denver doesn't win the next two I'll stop talkin' trash about the Laker's the rest of the playoffs, BUT if they do... you have to use the avatar of my choice the rest of the playoffs.

I wouldn't bet Shane because he's a money ***** who doesn't care about basketball teams in general. If he actually HAD a horse to ride in that thing, I'd have been out some good money. :) (love you Shane, you're my guy!!)

Ok, deal on your alternate bet. Denver wins the next two and holds serve, you get to lay an avatar on me until the Magic down the Nuggs in 6 (or whatever else happens). If the Lakers split or take 'em both, you can refrain from your Laker hate for the remainder of the playoffs. Agreed?

GO NUGGS!!!!

I cannot believe how much my opinion has changed on Melo...

I guess A.I. was rubbing off on him. Looks like Chauncey is a better role model for the kid.
