I don't think the lottery is rigged...

But if it WERE, I would not be thrilled about competing with L.A., Boston AND New York!

Hey, Phoenix is the largest State capitol in the country. Doesn't that count for something? :clapping:

It counts for terrible bandwagon fans who only support teams when they're the best in the country.

The problem is the Lakers have played 2 less games. So they have 2 potential losses they can throw in! Of course that could be 2 wins that kill them off, too!!!

Can just 2 NBA teams forfeit versus the Lakers! LMAO!

Its just the opposite of a playoff race, where the loss column is the most important number. You can get more wins, but you can't get less losses.

In this case, its the win column that matters. You can always get more losses. You cannot get less wins.

It just makes me feel dirty though. I hate tanking.

This tank has been fun because it's being done right. We get a shot at upper echelon players for losing. I feel no guilt whatsoever...Too bad you do.

I just checked the Nets schedule and if they keep playing the way they have recently they may not end with the most pingpong balls. If we can just leapfrog the Lakers we might lead all tankers.

We literally would have to lose all our games. Brooklyn might be able to squeeze out 6 wins, which would tie us.

I am with you. I understand why they are doing it, and I understand it's probably the right thing to do, but I just can't bring myself to cheer for my team to lose. Can't do it.

It's not your team....It's Sarver's team and even he wants them to lose.

It's called making the best of a bad situation...You can either mope about it or still find fun. Do what you want broski.

I understand your feelings but the Suns are going nowhere this season. I'd feel worse if the Suns were winning and battling for 12th place in the Western Conference.

Hopefully next season all we talk about is trying to make the playoffs.

It's good to point out fans have no control of the process so no need to feel guilt. I root for the young players to play well which makes every game a win.

Another way to look at it, it's a marathon race and the Suns are jockeying for position.

Yeah right.... Tanking is a tool. Evaluating younger talent...Getting a better pick... Laying the ground work for future success.

Its just that if we land th 5th pick, it will seem like such futility.

There are very good players to be had at number five. Your worst case scenario isn't even terrible. The suns winning out the season would be futility...

Isaac at 5 may have as a high a ceiling as even jackson, but no idea if he hits it.

My top 4 I want are:

Fultz
Jackson
Tatum
Isaac

Unless the suns make a big mistake and take ball, we will very likely get 1 of the 4

with insight like that what are wasting your time on this board for? A GM role surely awaits!

I heard that R.C. Buford, Bill Belichick and Theo Epstein all got their starts on ASFN.

I haven't fact-checked it, but since it's now posted on the internet it's PROBABLY true.

The best players left at #5 are Bledsoe clones.

Should the Lakers and Suns tie for 2nd worst record, is there a tie breaker? or a coin flip?

They split the "ping pong balls" of the second and third place teams. If they both are bumped out of the top three there is a coin flip to see who drafts first.

The more I watch the college playoffs I'm not sure there is a lock player in this draft. Certainly I want the Suns to have first choice but it would not be the end of the world if they didn't draft top three. Fox is a player that has caught my eye if the Suns draft a little later. I don't see the Suns drafting Monk. For some reason I'm not keen on drafting Tatum. I guess I do not see as much athleticism with him as I would like.
