Youwould have seen a great practice. Bbut you missed some bad mexican food. So there is a bright side.

Where did you go for Mexican?

I spent the day spring cleaning. I think even bad mexican food would have been better than my day.

Casa Bonita.

Food used to be good there. Was pretty lackluster this time. I have never seen such a small chimichanga in my life. It was about 4" long and skinny skinny skinny and didnt taste all that good.

I wouldnt write deuce off yet either. It was only one play that I was referring to. Lest you forget Dockett is pretty damn good.
It's fun to analyze every play of every practice - especially after the endless wait during the black hole of June/part of July.

But the danger is that in applying the proverbial microscope to everything so closely that we get into a "not seeing the forest thru the trees" type of deal.

Accordingly, I'd be inclined to weigh Lutui's record of work in real games last season considerably higher than how he did in one early camp drill.

But that said, it does raise a tiny red flag.

Postscript - Roger my jealously at not being there with you guys.

Yeah, I agree. I tried to view the practice with a healthy dose of "this is just one practice". If the reports are consistent over the next few weeks, we may be onto something.

That said, Leinart looked like a backup out there.

Really hard to answer that after one practice Mitch. I will have a better feel after 5 or so I think when it comes to the new talent.

Thanks, Shane. I appreciate it. Keep up the great work!

You too abomb...great job!

Nah. After yesterday, I dont think I will ever go to FanFest again. This way was so much better and we had better access to the players and practice.

Erin and I are 40-60 going up this Wednesday practice (7P-9P).

Tentatively planning on the Wednesday 8/13 night practice.

Did you have a chance to see Hightower play much? Wondering how he looks. Most teams are rolling with two backs these days. Wondering if Hightower is capable of spelling Edge for a few carries a game.

3. DRC Legs are toothpicks literally.

He said in an interview that he gained 13 pounds before getting to camp and weighed in at 195 for his physical. Apparently he gained all that weight in his upperbody.

Needs to dig deeper near the end of practices.

There was one blog about how he tripped ONCE while doing a footowork drill around some pads. Not that big of a deal. As for the rest that was one day.

There have been various reports both written and radio(including the podcast), on how sharp he looked at the Saturday practice, how improved his footwork is and how he is throwing the ball with more zip then in the past (report from Jurecki and the podcast this morning). It was also reported that both QB's looked like they were shaking off the rust on Friday.

My buddy and I noted that DRC's arms looked much bigger than OTAs and such.

Wonderful stuff abomb. Thanks to both you and Shane.

Any of you talk to Jim O yet? He needs advice on music selection for the Cards stadium, if he's still doing it.

Jim O needs to be aware that most of the big money guys are baby boomers. Therefore we need more ZZ Top, Tom Petty, Bob Seeger, REO Speedwagon and Stevie Nicks. And of course Stevie Ray Vaughn's the "house is a rockin'" is always a football crowds favorite.

That's exactly where I was headed, Duck. The average NFL season ticket holder is now about 53 years of age. Used to be 51. Most of the crap blowing our eardrums out in SDS and now Glendale stadium is annoying. It's aimed at an audience that isn't there.
