Im praying to God that this gives us more money to work with cause this may be just the thing we needed to get all these guys resigned (I still hope they hold out on Anquan and deffinetly Darnell...I like the idea of ONLY doing contracts in a contract year).

Anyone think this is why there has been a delay in negotiations for the big 3? I'd like to think there was a method to the FO's "madness". Or do most teams usually just use this annual bump for all of their draft picks?

No. We already had plenty of cap space for Dansby, Wilson and the draft picks and still have 2-3 left over at minimum.

Now we should have cap room for "Q"...!!! If the Cardinals do not renegotiate "Q's" contract then they never intended to ever renegotiate.

Not true. Just because you have cap space doesn't mean you have money for guaranteed money in the salary budget. Every team in the league including the Redskins have a budget and if the Cards do in fact extend Dansby and Wilson, both of whom will garner 20+ mill in guaranteed money they will not be giving out a 3rd 20+ mill guaranteed contract in the same offseason, along with the others they have already given guaranteed money to like Warner, McFadden, Haggans, and a lot others we have re-signed.

Been saying it for months, out of the 3 big ones to get extended there was always going to be an odd man out because we were never going to deal out 60+ mill in guaranteed money to three players in one offseason. Just was not going to ever happen. Its why the Cards have always said they want to extend Boldin but when the time is right. They have never said anything other then that since the day Boldin told them he wants to wait for Fitz to get his deal.

I guess it's kind of an obvious statement but for some reason your quote made me re-visit the thought. Why does Boldin think that the Cardinals team and FO should revolve around him? He chose to dictate another contract negotiation and then proceeded to further dictate by putting things off. Now he's hurt that the world isn't stopping because it suits him? I think everyone agrees that he's deserving of more money but I'm not sympathetic to the situation he created for himself.

As it stands now, the Cardinals team has a pro-bowl WR at a very reasonable price. Good job by the front office. Boldin will have to wait until next year.
