i didnt watch much of the portland game, but leonard looks slower than advertised. i thought he'd be a little more athletic than in parts of the game i saw. i could be wrong though as i didnt watch the whole game or even a whole quarter lol. just stating what i saw in those few minutes.

You see Nolan Smith beast and then get a concussion from Goran Dragic's brother?

Royce white is looking great. Man I wish we had gotten him. I would prefer him over Beasely.

Earl Clark was never that.

We never saw Morris in summer league. This is interesting. He went straight from an abbreviated training camp to actual play time. I am encouraged by what I am seeing.

I am just looking for a little bit more agressiveness from Marshall today at least something.
1st Qtr - All are shooting poorly so Marshall not getting any assists, he is still picking up his dribble to early and not taking it to the rim. He did hit a mid range jumper with time running out which is nice

O'Brian - no bueno

so i recorded the suns-cavs game, and finally getting to watching the game.

marshall looks pretty slow, i don't like his lack of penetration, and he just seems to be going through the motion on defense.

but if he had a team full of finishers, he'd be great. i saw him make some passes that hit guys right on stride or under the basket. if they were players who could finish at an nba level, he would have more assists for sure.

i didn't see him make any passes inside the 3pt line. very alarming that he has no penetration in a d-league game.

i don't know if you saw his fast break opportunity in the 2nd qtr, but he lost the ball and turned it over, then he was trying his hardest to sprint back while everyone got up court with ease. he'll need to work on his range so teams won't back off of him.

The Suns should take a long look at Garcia.

1st Half - Marshall is starting to find his way into the key at least a few more times. Garcia has some hops but still a very raw player. Morris is again the best player on the court again. Marshall tried a few shots and his release is very low which could be very bad in the NBA with alot more athletic players. Landry might get a spot some where. Garrett just might not get enough time to prove he can get a spot on another team.

What bothers me most about Marshall is that he does not push the ball up court. He doesn't have to be fast to push the ball if he knows how to handle the ball.

Nevermind, Marshal has only one speed... slow and slower.

Apparently, they have

Charles Garcia of the Summer Suns gets a training camp invite, per Tariq Lee of www.azcentral.com. Good for Garcia!

The Suns have given the 6-foot-9, 229-pound bruiser another shot at making his dream of playing in the NBA into a reality.

"He's very athletic and can really run," Suns assistant coach and summer league head coach Dan Majerle said. "He's got a lot of skills can step out and shoot the shot. He plays hard he's got to learn how to play a little bit, understand the plays a little bit we threw so much at him. He's young and he's a talent.

He said nothing about the SG position as of right now.

Does anyone have a tape of the Sarver interview at halftime? When he was talking about free agents I thought he mentioned a player that didn't want to come to the Suns.

No only D Williams, he said other top players want to come to Phx as well. He did say he thinks they are done going after players

So Derrick Williams did not want to come to Phoenix? This is what I thought I heard. How interesting him being from the UofA.
