Not by most of this board. But sure, look around the internet, you can find people passionate about any opinion you want to put out there.

This is a joke, right? Chris Webber? What the hell does he know? We're talking about Chris Webber the former NBA player, right? Seriously?

Yep, the same Webber that called a timeout in college when he didn't have one costing his team the NCAA championship.

Yea I wasn't talking about this board, just the media in general.

And yes, I happen to like Chris Webber. I finish his thoughts far more intriguing and intellectual than anyone else on Inside the NBA (other than Grant Hill).

Unfortunately, he made 3 terrible ones immediately afterward.

That's true, but those 3 mistakes are gone. Amare recently went in on his last year of like $23 million. Sure Sarver is still paying for Childress, but his salary is off the books and that's what he get's for making that stupid move. It doesn't hurt the team or cap though.

Yeah, I'm really happy about how well we have recovered after the Blanks/Hunter fiasco. It has been an amazing turnaround. We went from down in the dumps to sky high in a single year starting with the McDonough hiring.

I think Chris Webber has become one of the better in the business but he was horrible until a few years ago. He was resting on his laurels as a former NBA player and he clearly wasn't putting the time in to prepare for his new career. I'm not sure what caused him to change but he is now straightforward and fairly knowledgable. At the time of his "free Nash" campaign though he was stealing their money.

Not sure if this has been mentioned or if I'm wrong on this, but I've not heard any rumors of Bledsoe being courted by anyone, let alone that he's visited or will visit any teams. This is great for the Suns. They have a great bargaining position and as time goes by makes it less likely we end up having to match and screw up our window of time on waiting for Lebron.

Also, the Warriors are out of money so no Frye. I'm hoping we aren't going to over pay the guy. But, if Lebron did sign here , I'm betting Frye would be willing to resign for a reasonable amount if we still needed him because the other candidates at PF had already committed elsewhere. I'm dreaming of Lebron, Bledsoe, and tucker this year and Love added next so we don't have to give up anything. One can dream...

As I have said before I suspect that Bledsoe and the Suns have already agreed to a deal.

On the other hand except for Hayward in Cleveland I have not heard any news of visits of Thomas, Monroe, Tucker or other restricted FAs either.

Nobody wants to make promises right now. They're all waiting to see what LeBron and, to a lesser extent, Carmelo do.

Some team, OKC if my memory is right, is pursuing Ed Davis. Incidentally, the reason he is a free agent is that Memphis did not make him a qualifying offer. It doesn't sound very promising but it might just be a gambit on Memphis' part - feign no interest in him so everyone will think there is something wrong with him. He gets only low offers and then Memphis steps in and outbids them. Frankly I believe his stats after four years and would pursue him anyway - naturally one would look very closely for any red flags.

Hopefully, the Suns are giving him and Jordan Hill serious consideration - and I'm guessing that the amount they'd command would not interfere with chasing after that notorious will 'o wisp, LJ. Whatever else we may do we have to add rebounding at PF... both HIll and Davis do that and improve our D in the paint.

We won't sign Ed Davis, not our kind of player, questionable attitude as well. He can't make 3s.
There is a reason why Memphis did not even bother to make him the qualifying offer.

Suns are interested in Patrick Patterson, much better fit.
Magic not the only team interested in Raptors RFA Patrick Patterson. Suns are as well. PHX "is after him," source said.

3rd Kentucky Wildcat, similiar to Markieff Morris - shoots 37% from 3 for his career.

What happens when you make a qualifying offer? The guy turns it down and other teams will try to offer more than you'd be willing to match. If you don't make one then teams are likely to think, like you do, that something must be wrong with him and not pursue him or make a low offer. His questionable attitude sounds like you fabricating crap again, though he could be unhappy playing in Zach's shadow - I like that kind of attitude!

What do you mean he doesn't fit? He rebounds well and defends well, exactly what a fastbreaking team needs. Patrick P. is just what we don't need, another weak rebounding PF. Questionable D, on top of that.

He can't turn down the qualifying offer, Memphis CHOOSE to not even try to keep him.

You sound like BC, living in the past. Power Forwards who have no range on their jumpshot are a liability.

If you can't shoot 3s then you are garbage as a big man. We all know it's impossible for PFs to learn to knock down some jumpers.

On our team that's almost true. You don't have to shoot 3's but you need to be able to space the court and a power forward with range out to 8 feet isn't going to get it done. Duncan doesn't shoot 3's but he can pull the big man far enough from the basket for Parker and Manu to do their thing. That's about all we need.

The above is a general statement, not a comment about Davis.

I think our chances at LeBron at just about done. I don't think we are even remotely in the running, I think he's already decided to stay in Miami otherwise we would have heard something by now.

Amin Elihassen who used to work for the Suns and now ESPN said in his chat that Suns have zero chance at LeBron and that he's staying in Miami no matter what happens. He said Suns are still a viable option for Love and that he expects us to go after some of the other coveted more realistic SF targets such Hayward, Parsons, Deng etc.

I saw some stuff from him a few days ago, the dude seemed horrible at his job. Grasping at straws. I don't think he knows squat.

Could he ultimately be right, sure. But I don't think he knows anything.

Here's a link of him saying the Heat would go after top flight guys....whoops. So off.

Here's also some quotes of him during a chat

Amin, I am sure you follow the Suns closely. With that said, what pieces would you like to see them add to make that next step? Seems like they are very close considering their success this past season.
Amin

I think keeping their free agents is big; adding a Gordon Hayward or a Luol Deng would be a nice move as well. Down the line, Kevin Love seems like an easier target than some of these other pie-in-the-sky targets

Well they are going for pie-in-the-sky and it sure doesn't feel like pie-in-the-sky

Do you see the suns making a major splash in free agency or saving there money for the 2015 summer with names like Kevin Love,Lamarcus Aldridge and those boys?
Amin
(3:34 PM)

I see them strategically going after more reasonable FA targets. No elephant hunting

Hey Amin, I was wondering are these Dragic trade rumors real? I don't understand why the Suns would trade Dragic what are they thinking? Also, Suns owner Robert Sarver said " the Suns have a lot to offer LeBron" will LeBron even consider Suns?
Amin
(4:07 PM)

With regards to Dragic, I think it's a case where they're talking to Indiana and asked "who do you like?" and the Pacers say "Dragic". Then turn around and leak it...As for LeBron, you have a better chance getting Keira Knightley to consider you for a date.

Geez, glad his vision isn't our front office's vision

Will LeBron and Melo even consider the Suns? They have the money to pay them and a bright future
Amin
(4:13 PM)

Name the last big name free agent who came to Phoenix in his prime. Then remember that Jerry Colangelo aint walkin thru that door..

Wow, such hate all in ONE text chat?

He gets taken to task here....

Patterson is the better fit than Davis and I like Davis. I think the Suns have made it abundantly clear, they want shooters on their team.

Not that this is any indication, but I've read James & Bosh are on vacation. Maybe they are waiting until after they return to make a decision. Personally, I think the agent is angling for a better deal for Bledsoe and is using James as bait and PHX is getting played.
