That's a Bulls homer fan deal. No way anybody takes on Boozer's contract unless the Bulls throw in bounty of picks and young players.

You mean an expiring contract for a 16 PPG 10 RPG guy? Bulter is young, can score in spurts and plays great defense and the pick can be the Kings pick.

Plus, this homer is only going off of a couple of Suns homers who started the discussion. ;)

Amundson and Augustin to PHX. Done.

That's your idea of bounty of picks and young players? I was thinking more like Doug McDermott and Kate Upton. Something along those lines.

If only Mila Kunis was not taken. She is more my style.

Butler is a pretty damn good young player and that proposed deal had a pick too. I could see us doing that. Butler at the 3 is a big upgrade over Tucker. He's a really good defender and has a decent amount of upside and is younger.

I'm not convinced. I thought Butler was going to become a star at the wing but either Thibs is wearing him out (a distinct possibility) or his limitations as a shooter are going to hold him back. He's a great defender but so is Tucker and Tucker, as bad as he is, is less of a liability as a shooter. Butler shot under 40% from the field last year and just over 28% from three.

we are not missing out on anything except desperate teams overpaying hard.

Avery Bradley for 8M$ per got to be the biggest joke so far or maybe Kyrie Irving for 5/90 with Hayward possibly for 4/60.

I like the way the Suns are going about this. It's like elk hunting for the big trophy. You patiently let the average bulls pass by knowing you want the big prize or none at all.

I agree, but i'm suspicious it stays that way. I'm just waiting for the channing fry re-signs for 4 years 32 million dollar story, that'll make me kick in my screen.

But, cleveland about to offer a max contract to heyward, they must have been told no chance lebron comes back.

These are some players the Suns have been in contact per Paul Coro in an article at azcentral dated 7-2-14.

I wouldn't mind if the Suns considered Patrick Patterson of Toronto who is a restricted FA.

Patrick's numbers are an almost exact match for Frye's - in particular his rebounding is scant improvement, if that - for their careers Frye is slightly better. On defense Frye has a small edge. At the same salary I'd take Patterson, primarily because he's much younger and may have some upside yet - but it would still be treading water.

Yep, no need to panic. Panicking leads to giving the Gordon Heywards of the world max deals.

I can't imagine Gordon Hayward going to Cleveland, max offer or not. He will get a good offer elsewhere if not the max. He has options. It's hard to imagine anyone wanting to go to Cleveland

I'm not sure why we're all trashing Cleveland. I don't know much about any place east of Lincoln, Nebraska but if I had to choose I'd pick Cleveland over Detroit. Come to think of it, I do know quite a bit about Cleveland. Bruce Willis lives in a nice middle class neighborhood there in the movie Red. They decorated for Christmas and his neighbor greeted him with a smile on her face. Proof enough for me that Cleveland is a great place to live.

I'd say the above is not saying much, but that's giving that idea too much credit. Choosing Cleveland over Detroit really doesn't say anything at all does? I mean, Detroit's been the joke of the country all the way back to 70's when Dr. Claw sentenced one traitor to death and an even worse offender to an even harsher punishment, sending him to...Detroit in the Fistful Of Yen skit in the The Kentucky Fried Movie.

this video nicely describes Cleveland and Detroit (one of my favorite videos ever):

Very interesting article. Each bit of news adds a little bit more energy to this whole thing. This writer says that when LeBron met with Bosh and Wade he did not ask them to take less, told them he wanted the max, and did not give them any indication whether he would return to Miami or not. Basically, there was no plan. Bosh and Wade are willing to take less to try to get LeBron to stay. But they do not know if it will work. My idea free agency would be to sign LeBron and do NOTHING else.

BTW. The idea I get here is that there is a much better chance that LeBron changes teams that anyone ever might have been willing to admit.

I'm glad you enjoyed the movie. Sounds nice.

I have nothing against Cleveland, I just wouldn't want to live there. :)

Yeah, I'm not packing for Ohio anytime soon either. But in addition to Detroit, I'd probably choose it over a few of the southern locations too.

I said it before, that manipulative rant by the ultimate greedy pig known as Pat Riley would have been enough to drive me away even if I had to take a pay cut to do it. I don't know if that's actually a factor though. More likely is has to do with the rumored treatment Lebron and his people received from Riley and the organization. They didn't feel welcomed according to one of the ESPN reporters (probably that Brian Windhorst guy).

The Heat are in it, but every day that goes by, more and more comes out about how that isn't likely. It's quite clear Lebron will likely only stay if they upgrade, and not only have they let some opportunities pass them by the 7-12 million, which I've heard might be as low as 5, won't get it done.

It is funny how the media wishes to god he stays, everything has been pointing the opposite way and they keep saying 12 million, when it's probably closer to half that.

The Heat are seriously not in a good position to upgrade unless Gasol goes to them for 5 million per, and James accepts him and Napier as the only upgrades necessary to stay.

But the Bulls are flying to LA, OKC is in the mix, and there are other possibilities as well.

From the article above...

Bosh and Wade were so uncertain about James's future after last week's meeting that one of them spoke about what the Heat might look like without James, according to one source.

From that article, I think we can now infer that the Wade photo of two plates probably was indeed showcasing he thought Lebron was gone.

Everybody should buckle in, because Miami's options are dwindling, and Lebron is playing hardball. Everything is actually pointing to Lebron leaving unless Riley can be David Copperfield for awhile.
