This is how I view it although the Rockets will need to fix their PG situation.

Somehow it seems the Suns could benefit from this situation.

Maybe the Rockets need Brandon Knight to run their offense. I would be interested in Patrick Beverley as a backup PG but it would take more to make it work.

I'm not sure if Knight would be the type of PG D'Antoni wants, he seems to prefer those who are more pass first.

If true, you can kiss the Okafor deal goodbye.

Jeremy Lin seemed to work fine in his system.

Jeremy Lin is also much, much less of a ball hog than Knight. Knight is the Carmelo Anthony version of a SG that's trapped in a PG's body.

I'm not sure D'Antoni wants another 'Melo on his hands...

I wonder if they would consider Knight instead of Teague since Knight is locked up for long term. He also gives them a scorer (albeit a low efficient one) which is something they need from their backcourt desperately.

Jeff Teague had a PER last season of 18. Knight's was 14.75. Teague's a much better player.

And Knight's was above 20 last season until it fell apart.

And Jeremy Lin played like an MVP for the Knicks in 2011-12. Too small a sample size. Eventually he regressed to his career mean. Knight's career PER is 14.4.

It didn't look that way to me. He didn't regress at all. He went south so quickly I don't know what to call it. But there was no spacing, little talent on the court and he played hurt most of the season AND he played out of position most of the time.

His PER was on a steady climb until he ended up in Phoenix and he's been saddled with an ankle problem during most of his stay in the desert. I wish we had never traded for him but I don't think we have a clue what he is as a player any more than we did about IT. Everyone wanted him traded for a candy bar too, now many of the same people are complaining that we gave him away.

True. However, watching him play, he seems a terribly inefficient player. Bledsoe is the key to this player's efficiency? Without Bledsoe, this player resorts to 20 ft 2 point shots with 17 seconds on the clock? Bledsoe unlocks this player's finishing rate at the rim? Maybe Bledsoe is the key. However, this is a player that multiple teams have given up on due to inefficiency. My bet is he is, indeed, an inefficient player at heart. Perhaps, we should not give him up for a candy bar, however, I'd give him up if you threw in a box of crunch n munch. I hate inefficient players. He is an intelligent guy tho so maybe he can become something more.

I think he's far better than we've seen but I'm not sure you can win at the highest level with a player like him in a key role. But I feel that way about a lot of high priced players. I think he's best suited as an off guard whether it's as a starter or off the bench. In the end, my preference would be for him to fill that role with another team, I just don't like him and I don't like watching him play even when he's playing well. But having said all that, I think he's capable of being roughly a top 50 player when healthy. I'm against just giving away that kind of talent and right now, I think we'd have to almost give him away.

But the idea that all the other teams have given up on him is somewhat slanted IMO. First off, it ignores the fact that there were teams interested in him. And secondly, from what I've read, Kidd didn't give up on him. Jason wanted him to move to the off guard position and Brandon wasn't willing. If he insists on playing the point for us we'll be forced to move him too because you can't afford to have him playing point 35 minutes a game. Maybe 10 minutes at point and 15 to 20 at shooting guard but the idea of him running the offense night in, night out, is pretty scary.

I agree with this completely. This is one of the reasons I would like for the Suns to add another PG that is a better distributor than Price. I don't have a problem with having Price on the roster but I think he should fill the role of a third PG. I think Knight could play well as a SG but it may have to be with another team.

It might be lip service but it sounds like the Thunder are going to keep Ibaka.

Presti on if Serge is still part of the core he referenced at the start of the year: “Oh, absolutely."

I didn't see the Thunder getting rid of him to begin with. He is a good player who could not be easily replaced.

I'd feel that Butler is too old to give up a lot for the Suns.

Butler turns 28. That is almost 10 years older than Booker. I'd prefer for the Suns to look for potential young star pieces to add to what we have instead of adding an older established star.

I think we need to grow our team and allow the young guys to grow into their roles. Adding someone like Butler could hamper the development of Booker.

I agree. We need to add a piece or two to a young core consisting of Booker.

And for now Len. And hopefully Warren. But I don't think the latter two will have long Suns careers. I mean who has had a long career in a Suns uniform lately?

I agree with you. If the team was a vet or two away that would be one thing. I would prefer younger player as well.

And the Bulls countered with Rose and Freddy for Thibs!

I can't see the Bulls even entertaining an offer for Butler from Minnesota without at least Wiggins being involved.
