I like Xavier Williams and I wonder if Alani Fua can learn to be a decent WILB backup for us. He's got the athleticism to cover. I think he could at least be a decent special teams player.

Pretty sad that I'm more excited about our UDFA than our actual draft.

If the Cardinals can pick up these players in free agency, it just gets me more excited about their draft.

Taylor Kelly invited to rookie camp for a tryout.

This is excellent. Kelly may not have the strongest arm but he is a good leader and decision maker. Before he got hurt in his last season at ASU, he was a very good college quarterback who I thought might make an NFL team as a reserve.

Doubt that it would be as formal as a directive because that would be collusion/anti trust etc. But I agree there must have been enough concern and intel to let these guys know the risk factor was too great.

or just simple math...he said he will not sign if he is drafted after the third...but teams didn't want to risk the money of first three rounds...so he slid out of the draft.

I love Kelly, but he's probably a long shot to make the roster. He had a tough year with injuries last year. If healthy, I think he is a better quarterback than Logan Thomas or Ryan Lindley, but that's not saying a whole lot.

You are right in that Berco appears to be more suited for the NFL. Will be interesting to see this all play out.

Kelly's future is as a high school or college coach, not in the NFL.

Funny you point him out, because I was looking at a lot of tape on him last week. I'd love for us to give him a chance. He's not starting RB material, but he is a BRUISER who doesn't go down easy. Would be a sweet change of pace from Ellington and Johnson

This Texas EX does not think Shipley is a NFL WR (he is a poor man's version of his brother Jordan and Jordan was not special in my opinion) but Brown is starting running back material
