Zack Lowe of ESPN does an in depth article about Eric Bledsoe including a video breakdown on his improvement as the Suns point guard. Also it discusses if Bledsoe might be better traded while he is at his peak.

Here are some quotes from the article. See link below for more.

Just read this as well. I think it would be in the Suns best interest to trade him while his value is this high.

It's a tough call although with Bledsoe's history of injury and the younger players timeline it could make some sense. Bledsoe is playing his best basketball at the moment and has indeed turned into a good play maker. Also, he seems to have given heart to the franchise. Any trade involving Bledsoe would have to be done with some class and regard to his feelings.

Amen to this, especially the last part is important (re)building the reputation of the franchise.

You can't go too young and deplete the roster too much. We don't want to turn into the sixers. So I think I'm okay with Bledsoe until we draft or sign his replacement.

They were joking about how Derrick Jones only had 1 career shot attempt headed into the dunk contest. If he wins does anyone think he'll have trade value? I don't see him fitting in with this Suns team as it's assembled.

Really? I can't imagine why he wouldn't fit in, assuming he develops an NBA level game. I don't know if that will ever happen but last I heard they had him focusing on his defense and his 3 point shooting. Anyway, he certainly has the athleticism for the big time and with Tucker likely on the move we could use a 3 & D guy.

We're deep on the wings right now, he has no less than 4 players in front of him for playing time, probably more. Booker, Warren, Knight, Tucker, Barbosa, and Dudley are all either SG or SF that will see time before Jones and Tucker is the only one who might be gone soon, the rest are locked in through next season. I just don't see the time for Jones.

I think we're very weak at small forward right now, mostly because Warren has been a shadow. Tucker plays some 3 but I think his best minutes tend to come at the 4 or 5 and I don't see him here past the deadline. Dudley cannot play small forward anymore, not even for a few minutes. Knight is just a 1 or 2 and doesn't figure in our long term plans. Same with Barbosa.

Booker is a 2 first and is just as likely to play spot minutes at the 1 as he is the 3 although I'll grant you, that might change in the future. So I see a definite need at small forward and I think with someone like Jones you're always talking about down the road because he clearly isn't ready right now.
