I think more latitude needs to be given about discussing NBA players that are no longer Suns in the "Around the NBA" thread. IMO, some good stuff came from both sides of the Sunsfan88 and AzStevenCal discussion.

I don't mind hearing about former Suns as I don't keep track them that much any more unless they irritate me. :)

I have no problem with discussing former players, that was never my issue there.

You have a tendency to talk glowingly about people and coaches that aren't with the Suns, especially if they are ex-Suns and you also have a tendency to harshly review those that are still in a Phoenix uniform. All I did was correct some of your comments, there was no bashing there. It was an attempt to keep your post from creating the typical Suns bashing that accompanies a post such as yours, especially when the team is struggling and people are already down about them.

And you didn't tell us it was your opinion that Thomas was 3rd in the MVP race, you made it sound like you were passing on news. I corrected it. That's not bashing.

Markieff has stepped up his game, I acknowledged that but it's ludicrous to suggest that he's anywhere near the reason Washington is playing better except to point out that he is no longer playing horribly. He measures out at a slightly below replacement level player. Saying so is not bashing.

And I'm not sure how it's bashing to point out that Bledsoe, our player, is playing at least as well as Dragic, not our player. Especially since I had already mentioned that Goran was playing pretty well.

I'll say it, you're a hater. It's ok cause it means you're loyal to your team, it just I wouldn't take your opinion for much when it comes to that team or fomer players.

Keif's been a stud for WAS.

I saw the video of the injury to Zach Lavine on ESPN. The injury did not look that serious at first look. It shows you never know when a player goes down.

Thanks for your classless and uninformed opinion. 62 years old and I've been called just about everything except "hater". You'll find very little in my almost 19,000 points to justify your name calling.

To be fair, being called a hater is not calling names. It just means you will hate on someone no matter what they do. I do not know if that is the case in this situation, but it is not being called a name. You are not a hater in general.

Yeah, that's typically the thing with ACL's.

Amen to this, especially the last part is important (re)building the reputation of the franchise.

You can't go too young and deplete the roster too much. We don't want to turn into the sixers. So I think I'm okay with Bledsoe until we draft or sign his replacement.
I just don't understand this line of thinking. We have THE SECOND WORST RECORD IN THE NBA. Worse than the sixers. How much worse can it get? And if it gets sixers bad maybe it nets is an embiid and we don't remain there. It's not like the vets are keeping us respectable. We have THE SECOND WORST RECORD IN THE LEAGUE.

I'm not talking one season of being Sixers bad. I'm talking 10 plus years.

We've missed the playoffs for too many years, true, because we didn't get young replacement talent in like the Spurs etc. Remember the last few teams with Nash and Hill? We had no future. Now we do.

Prior to this Suns have always been a 50 wins team and we've been mediocre (not Sixers bad) some of the years outside looking in.

Personally I hope this is the last year of suckage. One last stab of getting an Embiid, a piece along with Booker to be our core, like Duncan and Parker and the one who won't be named.

Keep dreaming.

Go Suns!
