Its beginning to look like a 4 player draft rather than a two player draft. That is because the top two have slumped some. That would be good news for the Suns, I guess. Chances are pretty good we get a top 4 pick.

Simmons, Ingram, Brown, Bender.

If we get the fifth pick, I would not be surprised to see McD go with Labissiere. He has all the stuff. He can run shoot, play D, rebound, block a shot. He just has not really put it together with Kentucky yet. But when you look at who is left in that 5-8 range, he might be the player with the most upside.

I don't buy that it's started to look like a 4 player draft. And I think people are rationalizing it as such simply because it looks like we're playing our way out of the 2nd pick. Simmons and Ingram are heads and tails above anyone else, slump or not. I personally want Ingram. That kid can do it all and I question a little of Simmons motor.

Just watching Ingram today... that kid's special. Great handles, passing ability and a pure jumper... at 6'10 and still growing. He's going to be a superstar. Maybe a Kevin Durant lite.

Uh no, and I like Allen but he was 4-12, Ingram 7-12.

Also defense, Ingram makes a big difference withhis length.

what do you think Slin? How does Ingram compare as a possible poor man's KD?

He is less athletic but I think he can fill out his frame better than Durant and get stronger.

Ingram might ultimately be a PF in my opinion if he can fill out.

I'm not sure anyone is rationalizing it as a 4 person draft, if anything they are missing the possibility that it will become a 1 player draft. Simmons has really hurt his case IMO and besides Ingram there are a couple players that could overtake him for the number 1 spot. I especially wouldn't sleep on Poeltl, a good tourney might easily launch him into contention.

But in the end, I think Ingram plays well enough for the number one spot and Simmons goes next. But few will be clamoring for that second pick. In fact I wouldn't be surprised to see LA or whoever look to move back a few spots. He has the most potential in this class (besides Ingram) but he's very risky.

No way Poetl can be in contention for the #1 spot, no way. That would be the biggest draft mistake in NBA history other than Sam Bowie.

I'd take at least 3 centers over Poetl. Bender, Zubac and Zizic. Maybe also Zimmermann.

Poetl in the top 5 is super bad value considering Zubac, Zizic and Zimmermann are projected between 15-25.

Sam Bowie was only a huge mistake because of who else was in the draft and because of injury. It's really not a good comparison. But I don't think it's going to happen, I just threw it out as an example. There are several others I could have used but I wanted to stay away from the obvious guards (Hield, Murray, Dunn etc). Jakob's not on the radar for a top 5 pick or so just yet but a great tourney run could change all that. I'm actually hoping he has a mediocre March and drops to us with the Washington pick. IMO he won't be a stud but he should be a very solid pro.

Matt Costello playing really well for Michigan State today. I haven't see him play before today but based upon a single game, he looks like he can play in the NBA.

Jaylen Brown cost himself today, 7 turnovers in 17 minutes in a loss. Hint Jaylen, with 2 defenders standing in front of you don't try to run them over or dribble right into them.

Poor Cal had to play without 2 starters and then Brown left his cape in the lockerroom.

Jaylen Brown's top 5 status may have gone up in smoke today.

The bad thing, his last 4 games before today he was 9-47 from the floor.

And then goes 1-6 with 7 To's in 17 minutes. So he's 10 for 53 from the floor in his last 5 games.

My PHX mock would look like this:

#3 - PF/C Skal Labissiere - Project big but would rather have him over Brown, Dunn or Bender.

#13 - PF/C Stephen Zimmerman - PHX will need 2 PF's as both Leuer & Teletovic are gone after this season.

#28 - SF Taurean Prince - 3 & D player who would allow PHX to get rid of PJ Tucker. Would battle Warren for starting SF job next year.

#33 - PG Tyler Ulis - If he were 6 inches taller he would be a lottery pick. Would provide a pass first PG on the team.

Not according to Givoney ( Draftexpress), he blames it on Cals lineups and systems and playing Jaylen Brown without any shooters on the floor.

Kris Dunn was meh in a narrow win
Jamal Murray had a bad half and a good half
Skal Labissiere showed flashes
Ivan Rabb was good in a loss
Domatas Sabonis was good
Gary Payton II was good in a loss
Jaylen Brown was poor in a loss
Poetl was ok
Taurean Prince was good in a loss.
Valentine was meh in a loss
Deyonta Davis limited productive minutes in a loss.

Too bad we won't see more of Rabb, Davis, Brown, Prince, Valentine..

From Payton II I don't need to see more.

Buddy Hield looks like a nice all around prospect.

Dunn is growing on me. He is a great passer but Providence has terrible shooters.

Jaylen Brown would really benefit from another year but you can't blame him for leaving.

If we didn't have Booker, I'd really be interested. In fact, if Booker could play PG, I would draft Hield. Could you imagine that back court offensively? They would be in the same league as Curry/Thompson.

Damantas Sabonis (19 pts 10 rebs) vs. Jakob Poetl (5 pts 4 rbs) and the win Zag 82-59. Sweet 16 for Zags. Say what you want about Sabonis, he keeps doing it over and over and over again. Double double every night. Sophomore. Not too old. Advanced game.

Wiz pick.

If Buddy Hield is the BPA available when we pick, take him. Don't look back. Trade Archie and Knight for what you can get.

We totally agree about drafting BPA especially with the Suns pick.

I agree as well. Suns have too many holes to fill to worry about positions. Draft the BPA, and then figure out the rest. There are worse problems than having three shooters/ scorers on your roster. As long as Booker, Len, and Warren start next season and rookies get some good minutes, I will be happy. Knight being traded for a young PF would be icing on the cake.

Who in their right mind would trade for knight? And who could we package with him to sweeten the deal?

No one and no one I'd guess but if mcd can off load him for anything I'd totally change my tune on the guy (if I haven't started to a little already).
