I have no idea how it compares but I do know that euros fail at an alarming rate.

care to guess how many White Euros made the All-Star team this year? 1... out of 24 spots and that one only got in because of injuries.

how about how many times ANY white guy, American or Euro made the All-NBA Teams since 2010? 15 times... out of 120 slots. That averages out to 1.5 White Guys per season fill out 15 spots to make All-NBA Teams.

If you've got the top pick in the draft... ah forget it. I'm a racist... against my own skin-type and the lack of upper echelon success of white guys in the league is a fairy tale.

To be fair, Porzingis would have made it if he wasn’t injured.

I don’t know the answer, but of those how many were guards? I’d guess the majority.

you'd guess wrong. They were bigs. Dirk, the Gasols, Love. None of them tweeners. All legit big men. Dragic made one. Nash made one.

Now, can we guess how many swing-men white or euro white guys made that list out of a possible 120 selections? I'll give you the answer:

this is true... maybe this year. But even then, you're talking about a legit 7 footer with freaky athleticism.

Oh man obvious answer - the bar was the wrong place to answer that. But past behaviour doesn’t predict future performance; no Australian was ever drafted first, now there’s two of them, no team ever shot 1000 3’s in a season etc etc .. ruling Doncic out because of what happened to other euros, while relevant, is not going to change my opinion of what I see in front of me.

That being said, I still can’t work out what happened to jan vesely, I swear that guy was a lock .

And he’s not a swing man, he’s a guard - but if he can’t distribute he’s nobody, and that’s what I’m hanging my hat on.

People who have watched game tape, how is Doncic's defense? I've only watched highlights and have yet to see a steal, forced turnover, stop, etc.

I'd like to know how many people who think Donicic has "enough" NBA athleticism thought Frank freaking Kaminsky had the same because there were A decent amount of people here making that claim.

Same with freaking Len... calling him "athletic for his size".

Very disciplined. He doesn't gamble much, uses his hands to deflect passes and steal the ball, understands the rotations. He is going to have a hard time staying in front of guys. Honestly, think 6'8 Steve Nash on defense.

Sounds like Ayton might be entering the draft a lot sooner than expected.

Well, that makes me feel better. Nash was an awful defender... no matter how hard he tried.

Sorry... was that too hostile?

I don't give a crap what makes you feel better. Someone asked a question, and I answered it. Your feelings are irrelevant. Doncic could walk on water and you'd be against him.

you said that about McD also. The next time they show that ability, will be their first. So far, McD has shown the ability to do nothing but DROWN. Remains to be seen what happens to the latest horse you're riding... likely right into the ground.

What the hell do you want, dude? Someone points something positive about someone, you complain and whine. Someone points out some flaws in the same person's game, you whine again. Like seriously, what it is that you want?

Well duh. The league is predominantly African Americans and thus it is not a surprise that the all star game is also predominantly African Americans....

I guess you could ask which white guy (or two) is it going to be?

Nowitzki’s old
Porzingis is hurt, maybe for good
Hayward? Maybe.
Dragic? Nah he’s not that good (although he had a 30, 8 and 9 night last night).
Parsons? Nah.
Rubio. No.
Jokic - very possibly.

If Doncic is the best of all of them (and the consensus is he’s the best European prospect ever (prospect meaning potential, not product meaning nowitzki)) then there’s no reason to think he couldn’t be that guy.

But I hear you on the probabilities, they’re not exactly in his favour - but then how many 6’8” point guards, black or white, have there ever been.

So much for seeing any more of Ayton this year. His college career is done.

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...dre-ayton-signing-according-fbi-investigation

BTW, so is Sean Miller's. He will never coach college ball again. And the contract that he signed, which rewards such behavior and protects him from consequences should cost the jobs of the the university President, AD, and the board of Board of Regents that approved it.

And the ALL-NBA Teams over the last decade? And why aren’t there more Euro/white guys in the league?
