Don't wanna jinx anything but I wonder who we'd select at #3. I'd like to go with Porter but his back issue scares me and makes me lean Doncic.
I wouldn't assume that Bagley won't be on the board at 3. Depends on who gets 1 and 2 because it could very easily be Ayton and Doncic as the first 2 picks.

The back issues worries me as well about Michael Porter but I will leave this to the Suns medical staff.

Depending on who the Suns draft, the Suns might want to look at his brother,Jontay Porter, with the Heat or Bucks pick.

No... no no no no no, I'm done with lesser brothers.

Grayson Allen misses a shot at buzzer that almost went in the basket. Overtime.

Allen is a giant pile of suck. With all of the debate about who we would take with our top pick, one thing I am definitely wholeheartedly against that could possibly happen is us taking Allen with one of the lower of our first round picks. I might have to get on the "fire McD" train if that happens.

I think he's an NBA player, but not a particularly good one. Not worth the headache with the tripping and all of that crap.

I'd join you on the train. No Allen in the 1st round. I'm not a fan.

He reminds me so much of Danny Ainge when he was a player. Same type of player you love to hate.

IMO that's being incredibly generous to Allen. I think Grayson is one of the dirtiest players I've ever seen. He makes Pachulia and Bowen seem like choir boys. Not since Ron Artest have I seen a player that prompted me to suggest he will lose it and kill someone someday. Artest eventually got help but Grayson still has a bunch of enablers in his corner.

Ainge was a little dirty and very sneaky. Karl Malone and Dikembe were both very dirty players but you knew the risks if you got near them but with Grayson, you never know what will set him off. These other guys do what they do to gain an advantage in the game of basketball, Allen just explodes.

Still? Most of the accusations are from like two years ago. Is he still doing it? He is watched meticulously so one incident I don't think would be enough.

I am not in favor of drafting him but just wondering.

He's had several within the past two years. They aren't basketball moves, they're tantrum based cheap shots and IMO even one is too many.

Any medical experts, just reading on the porter injury it seems like a standard surgery, to clip a piece of a protruding disk.

Long term prognosis seems good, several players including dudley have had the surgery.

If bagley and Ayton are gone, if the suns medical stuff says it's not an issue going forward, porter is still number 3 on my board. People forget he was the number 1 prospect coming into the season.

I personally wouldn't mind Allen in the 2nd. The Suns need more of that scrappy effort that Allen brings.

We are agreeing on a lot since you came back.

Here is an article which touches on the injury.

What we learned Tuesday with the news of Porter's surgery -- a "microdiscectomy of his L3-L4 spinal discs," which removes herniated disc material pressing on the spinal cord or a nerve root, and which will likely keep Porter from playing another minute of college basketball -- is a reminder of something we have always known but often choose to ignore: Nothing is guaranteed in sports. Nothing.

As a veteran of three back surgeries, none of them are routine... including a microdiskectomy (which was my first at age 21). Just think of Howard. Had a micro... literally was never the same. At a relatively young age of 28 I think.

And sure Duds had I.T done... but his game isn’t exactly one of High impact. He was already slow as molassses. But Porter isn’t Duds.

And if you’re having one at 18... like I did... it’s not a good sign for things to come, especially playing a high impact sport. Sure... he’ll get the best medical attention money can buy, but he’s also going to be a guy who’s constantly running, jumping, falling to the ground, getting banged around.

Buyer beware there.

Since you have first hand knowledge, is needing one surgery indication of potentially more problems down the line?

Or can it just be a one time issue that once fixed and rehabbed you are ok?

If we miss out on bagley or ayton, do we want the euro hype, a raw prospect in Jjj or bamb a or the pre injury number 1 prospect in porter.

I think it's a risk regardless, but how much more of a risk do you see porter?

I don't know if they have or not but all medical records should be turned over to any team considering drafting him.

Based off of family, friends, and anecdotal evidence (so take it with a grain of salt), I've always heard that back surgeries are like potato chips...you can't have just one.

I'm watching Kansas versus Duke. Kansas is having their way with Duke but I am so impressed with Bagley. He moves so well for a big man.

Carter has been limited due to foul trouble.

Bagley couldn't manage to out-rebound the 6'8 guard last night who defended him.

Carter tried to play like a stretch 4 most the game.

Lots of raw talent, but weak players on an overall weak team. Who they gonna be when they can't out athlete the other players?

Michael Porter reminds me of Grant Hill. Great player but might have injury problems his whole career. High-risk, high-reward pick.

I've had a herniated disc and know of others who have had the same issue. My experience is the problem never goes away entirely.

As you say, buyer beware.

Bagley has the complete package at 19. I expect him to only get better. He has huge upside. Judging a player on a game or two can be misleading. Look how much Aaron Gordon has improved since entering the NBA.

I agree completely offensively that his ceiling is super high.

I think he's incredibly soft though and will play soft in the NBA. I'm not judging him solely by that game but more so as an epitome of his game right now.

After Ayton, I'm starting to think Bamba will have the bigger impact on a winning team than Bagley III.
