but why would the Suns trade for an old expiring PG this late into the season?

Our 2nd rounder is going to have more value on draft night if we want to trade it.

Well just to win some games to give the fans and our players some hope for the future. Personally I would value an extra 5 wins over a 1.5% better chance at the first pick. Not to mention Beverley may be about as good as we can do for a free agent PG.

I would expect them to go all in on using our pick to draft Ja Morant unless we win the lottery.

Probably a good gamble for orlando - But orlando better have protection on that first rounder.

We couldn't beat that offer???

Looks like this team is going all in on Ja Morant.

Huge mistake.

This team won't be competitive until 2022 at the earliest.

We could - but he has a fairly hefty salary. I don't feel strongly either way - it is a big gamble and it would basically wipe out all our cap space. It really depends on whether you believe he will make a comeback or not.

yeah but can you see the Suns picking up a 31 year old PG this late into the season to take away minutes from Okobo and Melton? doubt it

I've seen enough of Okobo I think. I am seriously disappointed in his lack of progress, and his lack of aggressiveness. I think he needs to go back to the g-league.

Personally I would sign Teodosic - he is familiar with Igors system isn't he?

Eastern conference playoffs >>>

damn... that would be a really good get. The Eastern Conference playoffs should be pretty fun to watch and for once, I'd say their top 4 is better than the West's at this point where no one will be able to challenge GS. I wouldn't be surprised if they swept through the West or only lost a game or 2 on their way to the Finals.

A league of haves and have nots. No middle class pretty soon.

Although the two posts above yours are about the Bucks and Raptors loading up. So I guess that’s hope for teams who want to join the “haves,” at least for a little while.

I believe a Fultz comeback is far more likely than Ja Morant ever turning into a legitimate NBA point guard.

The other shoe didn't fall for the Suns.

What does that mean?

Say we get the 5th pick - Morant is going 2nd or 3rd and the 5th pick is a huge step down in value. What are we trading to move up? I don't see it.

Maybe if we get the 3rd pick and think Morant will go second they would move up - otherwise I think they trade out of the draft.

In Okobo's defense, lack of progress and lack of aggressiveness pretty much applies to every player on the team lately not named Josh Jackson.

Again, I think Igor is the problem here (not Okobo).

I don't agree. Not even a little bit. There is a far better chance of Morant being starting quality player than Fultz IMO.

However the odds of the Suns getting a chance to draft him are less than 30% which is what worries me.

Have you seen the last handful of games Murray State has played?

No, Jackson and Oubre have no problem being aggressive and getting as many shots as they want. Okobo won't even try - maybe because he knows he will miss, but whatever the reason he is not the offensive threat he needs to be. He is a bad distributor - if he can't score he is really giving us nothing when he is on the floor.

No, but I don't judge anybody on 2 or 3 games when he has been very good the rest of the season.

Just as I believe it is foolish to count on someone being a contributor in the NBA regular season when they can't even dominate in Summer League, I believe it is foolish to count on someone being capable in the NBA at all if they can't even dominate in the Ohio Valley Conference.

i believe we SHOULD HAVE beat that offer. we're in the position to gamble

but i'd more prefer to gamble on Morant
though i confess i've got nothing to ge on but hype

The guy's been turning the ball over at a ridiculous rate against weak conference opponents not exactly known for good defense. And his shot is no longer falling, either. And his defense was never any great shakes. He is going to be eaten alive in the NBA.

Geez, he's BY FAR the best player on his team surrounded by non-NBA talent. He's always going to be the #1 guy the opponent keys on. And regardless what conference he plays in, these are still really good basketball players.

I'm not sure why I looked at your post in the first place. Once again, you prove how repetitive you are without an ounce of perspective.
