Harden usually waits untill the 4th qrt to mail it in. He was gone by halftime. They don't have their closer CP3 anymore. At least they made it to 7.

Klay Thompson may have saved GS season though he kept them in the game for awhile.

This ain't got nothing to do with Harden, when the Warriors are hitting like this there is nothing you can do.

39 point swing in the 2nd half, 64-25. rockets had 39 in the first and only 47 the final 3. I guess that's got to be fatigue.

It's the same thing we've seen from D'Antoni since day 1. Barkley, Miller have all talked about it he refuses to adjust he flat out refuses to go to his bench all year. This isn't a new thing with him.

Serious question: does James Harden even care if he wins or not? Dude literally looks disinterested game in and game out

I'm surprised D'Antoni hasn't extended his rotation a little bit. Even Joe Johnson has been glued to the bench. I know he uses a short rotation but I thought it had to do with players he trusted. The Suns had some pretty bad reserves at times but the Rockets have more than 7 guys who should be seeing minutes. If he keeps this up, and I'm sure he will, I could see him getting pushed out of Houston after 1 more season. Their fans will grow tired of it like we did. He's a good coach to get a team to contention but he's not the coach to get a team over that hump and turn them into legit title contenders.

Weird series for Durant continues. didn't matter but he was again a non factor in the 4th. It was really Klay and Steph finally getting hot at the same time that did it.

Rockets only scored 9 points in the 4th. That's crazy. When a D'Antoni team only scores 9 points in a quarter you know it's the playoffs and everyone is playing on dead legs.

Just totally lost his cool tonight. He finished with 9 TO's and probably would have had more if the refs had kept calling the pushoffs on him once he got mad. He pushed Nick Young 3 times in one trip and then Draymond blocked his shot. He just seemed to completely lose focus.

I expect him to have a big game 7 though

I am not surprised at all. That's signature D'Antoni.

Nice to see McCaw back out there that was such a scary play when he got hurt. I seriously doubt he's playing in game 7 as Reggie suggested but it was nice to see him running around again.

Harden has disappeared at the end of every game this series so its not new. But as someone stated earlier if he doesnt get the calls hes a non factor. This also leads to him throwing a pity party and not getting back on D or playing any at all.

With that being said, fatigue has a lot to do with this loss. But we all know this and have seen it before. Someone else hit the nail on the head bringing up the 07' game 5 vs the spurs. Eerily similar.

CP3 is the general though and he kept the composure at the end of the last 2 games. It hurts the Rockets the most without him out there in the 4th qrt imo

The score was close headed into the 4th, with the Warriors up 7. It took the Rockets 6 minutes to score 4 points. The Warriors knocking down their shots didn't help but it wasn't their shooting that set the game out of reach, it was the Rockets inability to score at all.

D’Antoni could’ve easily expanded his rotations by 1-2 guys with the Suns and should here. Joe Johnson on Houston reminds me of when we had Jalen Rose. No reason why he couldn’t play 10-15 min per game. Same with Joe. Dude was productive in the playoffs last year with Utah, so it’s not like there’s no gas in the tank.

D’Antoni will lose Monday and it’ll be another reminder that he hasn’t learned a lesson from 10 years ago.

Tonight was LeBron’s seventh 40 plus game in an elimination game.

Let that sink in... SEVEN times he’s faced elimation and went for over 40 POINTS.

Dude’s the King of his Era. No ifs, ands, buts about it.

He gets the calls and can just barrel into someone and flop so yeah. I'm not a fan.

Seeing everyone calling out D'Antoni now is frustrating. It wasn't long ago he was touted as a genius and a great coach by a lot of Suns fans, wishing he would return to Phoenix or predicting a title for Houston. Once the playoffs roll around though and his shortcomings are highlighted everyone sees why he won't coach a team to a championship. Everyone calls him out for the one trick pony he is and questions if he'll ever learn and then in a few months people forget the playoff collapse and gets nostalgic again for him. I really don't get it. He led the Suns to some great years and helped usher in this fast paced style of play that dominates the league but just because he was the first to do it before everyone got on board doesn't make him the best at it. He'll coach the Rockets another year, maybe two, and then they'll let him go hoping whoever replaces him can have one last run with Harden before he's too old. When he's sitting around without a head coaching position and the Suns start looking for their next coach, people will want them to give D'Antoni a look again for some reason. I hope the team doesn't actually do it though because that first postseason trip he's with us people will start calling for his head when he's running 7 players into the ground and not coaching defense.

I know Paul is injured and some may blame their failure to win on his injury but he's injured because D'Antoni only plays 7 players a game with his stars playing 44 minutes a night in the postseason. If he developed a 9 man rotation like most other teams he wouldn't have an injury to explain why his team comes up short during every single playoff run.

I’m not sure it’s the same people who miss him the most that criticize him though most.

But I do think most people really respect him but wonder why he can’t seem to remedy a fatal flaw that’s been highlighted for over a decade (though there’s still a game left in this series).

Maybe it’s like Westhead’s “system” - doomed to fail, even in his own worlds, but maybe this one time it will work. (Though he does have that ‘80 title with the Lakers and the title with the Mercury).

Haha, I 100% believe that. In college my cousin worked as a bellhop, one night a limo is pulling through, the TV is showing Suns highlights, he's helped a few people out and asks "who won the game?", Shawn Marion climbs out and says "I did".

That said, he was a stud. The Mavs didn't have a big 3 but they had a great coach and lot of really solid players that fit together well.

It was always so disappointing when this stuff came out, because his game was perfect for having the highest approval rating. Everyone who knew anything knew. He was Dumars - so underrated he was overrated. It was actually a great place to be.
