Luke Falk of Washington State has played with a broken wrist since the 2nd game of the year.

Washington State quarterback Luke Falk reportedly broke the wrist of his non-throwing arm way back in Week 2 and played through the injury all year long.

Per 247 Sports, Falk was trying to wait until after the season to have necessary surgery done on the wrist. Unfortunately for him and the Cougars, “worsening mobility in the wrist required he undergo the procedure approximately two weeks ago in order to prevent the threat of long-term problems, two sources close to the program tell Cougfan.com.”

It wasn’t reported, but Falk wore a cast on his left wrist, which was then covered by a glove, all season long.

“The cast was cut off after each game so reporters in the post-game media gatherings wouldn’t inquire. WSU doesn’t comment on player injuries during the season — or after the season, as Mike Leach’s combative post-Holiday Bowl media conference showed — and the extent of Falk’s BSU-sustained injury was never made public.”

This is a pretty huge story, especially considering Falk’s final season at Washington State was one full of ups and downs (some of them being very low moments, indeed), which makes a lot more sense now.

A former walk-on who finishes his career as the most prolific passer in Pac-12 history, Falk finished the season with 3,593 yards, 30 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

ESPN's Todd McShay thinks Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson should return for senior season
"I would urge him to go back to school for another year. I don't get the sense that's going to be the case," McShay said of Jackson during an appearance on ESPN's "SportsCenter" on Saturday night.

McShay credited Jackson for improving this past season, but he believes Jackson could use more polish as a passer and more strength as a runner.

One challenge for Mayfield-- doesn't pull trigger unless guys are way in the clear. Stays away from tight windows. That'll be a big adjustment at next level. Has to let it go.

I really do like Mayfield and the way he plays, but when the windows get tighter he struggles a bit

IMO Mayfield will be there at #15 when the Cards pick, however, I just don't know if the Cards should take him.

The guy is a good qb, but he's to small and all the scrambling around is going to get him creamed. I'll be surprised if he goes 1st round.

He’ll go 1st round. He’s almost never seen what he saw last night. I still think he’s worth the risk. This team needs to keep drafting QB’s until they get it right. He’s not perfect, but then again, no one is coming out of college these days.

Baker had a great game IMO going against one of the best teams in the country. OU D got shredded by Chubb & Michel, can’t blame Baker & O for giving up 52 points.

I just don't see it with Darnold, I've watched about 4-5 USC games this year and he just does things that are pure and simply stupid and he has really bad pocket awareness. I think he will be best served by staying in school and working on some of his weaknesses.

It’s obvious he has some issues, but he’ll go in the 1st round based on mostly last year’s flashes. I like the kid’s upside. Too much risk for him to stay in school another year.

His success yesterday was early on and more scheme related(rarely was there a defender within 3-5 yards of a WR). Once UGA adjusted, Mayfield couldn't do much, especially from the pocket, and threw for a meager 87 yards in the 2nd half.

Yup. My problem with the game was not Mayfield. Lincoln Riley, the rookie coach. Probably made a few major strategy gaffes.
1. end of half squib kick.
2. Called the waggle route
3. Did not go for 4th and 1 with the best QB in the country
4. Took the ball out of Mayfield's hands in 2nd OT

Rookie mistakes. Bob Stoops must have been cringing on the sidelines. Hard to believe Riley would not live or die with Mayfield but he did not.

Baker Mayfield put up 45 on (get ready for this cliche ) one of the best SEC defenses.

Now get ready for the SEC Championship and not the CFP championship. That should lower the ratings.

Of course someone will draft with the idea they can fix his flaws because of his physical talents. I just don't see it with him, he will need to go in to the perfect situation and sit for a couple of years to grow up mentally. He is only 20 and has 2 years of eligibility left, if he cares more about being a better pro than being paid immediately he should stay in school.

Josh Allen's supporting cast in 2017 will continue to be a storyline for the next few months. If production is the focus, remember his completion percentage was even worse in 2016 (56%) with NFL players on the roster.

I was watching SportsCenter earlier and I get the impression from Bill Polian that he is not a big fan of Baker Mayfield.

Allen's ball placement is so inconsistent...he just doesn't have that natural accuracy that Rosen and Mayfield do. I can't see him being better than Blake Bortles. I'd rather have accuracy over a big arm.

Looks like people around the league are a lot higher on Allen than I am...no surprise. Senior Bowl is going to be huge for both Allen and Mayfield.

First-round pick: No. 15

Carson Palmer has retired. So has Bruce Arians. Will Larry Fitzgerald? Talk about uncertainty. Arizona is teeming with it. The Cardinals haven't addressed Palmer's successor in either of the past two drafts, which is a bit of a surprise. They seem to have little choice at this point.
