The Dbacks showed him the door.... So did Sarver.....

But Colangelo agreed to both buyer groups. He should have conducted better due diligence or negotiated better deal documents if he didn't want to be shown the door...

He offered to stay on with both groups and they indicated they could use his knowledge, and after the deals went through, they changed their minds.

Had he conducted proper due diligence on Sarver, he would have seen that coming...

Gordon Hayward broke his finger. That didn't last long, sarcasm aside, this guy can't catch a break...i mean stay on the court. Just got paid too.

I think this is the deal that eventually gets done.

will set up some good two-star teams in the East:

1) Brooklyn - KD/Kyrie
2) Heat - Jimmy Butler/Bam
3) Sixers - Harden/Embiid

And then the Bucks and Celtics and an interesting mix in Washington with Beal/Westbrook.

this should get done pretty quick now. If your Houston Simmons is about as good as it gets for you coming back.
Maybe they can get some picks. If I am Philly, I am really nervous about building around Embiid and Harden though. Embiid might be one of the most immature players in the league and Harden one of the most irresponsible partiers.

The Rockets gave up a lot of picks in the Westbrook/CP3 swap so they don't have them to trade for the next 6-7 years. That gives them little other than Harden to deal, which I would agree with you is a real risk to pair with Embiid.

Jazz sign Yogi Ferrell. He is a nice depth point guard and shooting guard.

Probably true whether the move succeeds or not. I think we were on our way to a pretty good season if we'd maintained our roster plus a rookie and a tweak or two. If Paul doesn't stay healthy or age takes him down over night, we will be a much worse team than we would have been. But if he has a season similar to his OKC year, this will be one of the better teams in the league when it finally gels.

Wow people are putting a lot of stock into the Clippers still.

Dallas has Luka and a very unreliable KP.

Portland has been fools gold with Dame and CJ McC.

Warriors have a lot riding on Curry. They have draymond but he proved who he was, they have Oubre but he isn't really the sharing type which is counterproductive to what they are.

I agree with this. It's mostly boom or bust. Hopefully Paul will give the Suns at least one good season. I still wonder if the Suns were wise passing on Haliburton.

An interesting tidbit in the NBA GM survey, Chris Paul was rated number 1 as the active player who will make the best head coach.

We can see this tendency already in a Suns uniform.

I like Utah a lot. They may be second to the Lakers. Their shooting and size is incredible. They have to stay healthy though.
