I would actually like to get Schroeder over Dragic cause he can be a dawg on defense with his length and a-hole’dness. I’m looking at guards in a potential finals matchup; Harden, Kyrie, Jrue (even Reggie Jackson gave it to us last year). I don’t think Schroeder is a quality defender consistently but only needs to be a pest in part time action.
Dennis over Goran is an easy call for me. If for no other reason than Schroder's quickness fits a real need for us.

It's hard to say with the addition of Aaron Holiday. The Suns might be content with the tweaks they have made to the roster.

They really value chemistry and team culture.
This. I don’t think suns are in the buyout market unless it’s something entirely unexpected.

Looking around the NBA there are some trades that could turn out well but I think what the Celtics did was really solid.

They traded for PG Derrick White from the Spurs and added former Celtic center Daniel Theis.

Tremendous upside and not much downside with the Wizards trading for Kristaps Porzingis.

They didn't give up anything important to get him.

Fearless Schroder prediction:

Wherever he ends up, that team, after getting the Dennis experience, will have no interest in keeping him next year.

On a buyout, I'd love having him for the last 27 games and a playoff run. But I think you can relax, our rotation looks set so I doubt we'll be adding anyone.

I know that general incentives transfer but are you saying a club cannot specifically tie a provision to the club itself? I don't know if it's accurate but I've read more than one writeup on the contract that states his final year becomes guaranteed if he wins a championship with the Rockets. Or are you saying the contract didn't include that wording?

It's not specifically worded as if the Rockets win a title but the team he's on wins a title. You'd need to read up on incentives and what can and can't be included. It can't be specific to one instance, like if he wins a title in Houston but that only applies to Houston and goes away if he's traded.

Lakers and Warriors are a couple of the teams expected to pursue Goran Dragic.

Yeah I have trouble concentrating for very long any more so it's not really worth the brain strain for me - if you're saying you've done the research, I'll take your word for what it says. I only asked the question because I'd read on more than one site (Spotrac, SI etc.) wording that made it appear to be tied to his time with the Rockets.

LeBron has just choked this GS game away something FIERCE.

Four 4th Q turnovers, misses a layup down 3 with 20 seconds left then gets a GIFT continuation foul on a 3 pointer down 3 with 2.4 left and chokes away the first of three free throws.

I was rooting for the Lakers to pull it off but Lebron/AD were total garbage. Golden St didn’t even play well either Klay just went off late.

For more specific scenarios like this I've found that it's best to seek help on Twitter. Larry ****, author of the CBA FAQ, is probably the best resource out there. It wasn't this instance but another in the past where an incentive seemed team specific and he explained how incentives move with players.

IIRC the instance being discussed then was whether a team made the playoffs or not because someone was dealt from a contender to a lottery team. They became a free agent at years end because they gained an opt out clause since their team missed the postseason. The team that traded them made the playoffs still but that no longed mattered since that team didn't hold the contract any longer.

Okay, I do know all this but it doesn't really answer the question. I know that general performance incentives travel to the new team. What I don't know is, can a team and player agree to an incentive provision that is specific solely to that team. I have looked through the FAQ a few times on this and can find nothing to suggest it can't be done.

No, that can't be done. An incentive always travels so it wouldn't be limited to just one team.

I’m rooting for him he ended with 12/3 in 21 minutes
We could always Steve Nash him. We drafted Nash, but he wasn't getting minutes. So we traded him to Dallas, then picked him back up after he got big minutes with Dallas.
