I really think Jones, Monty and Sarver all played a role in this situation. And as has been mentioned, because of factors outside our control, we got far less opportunity to assess him than usual and he had far less opportunity to grow and improve. I think we made a mistake but far less egregious than it's being made out to be.

I agree with this. I think JJ salvaged the situation by bringing back Craig by trading Stix for him. Had he held onto Stix and they let him expire then the mistake of declining his option would have been much more apparent. All's well that ends well though.

The move also corrects another perceived misstep from last off-season, letting Craig walk. Some believed that was a bigger blunder than anything related to Stix. I'm happy with the trade, ultimately it was a better move than trading Stix with Saric for Thad Young. Hopefully they don't dump Craig this off-season. If they dump Craig for nothing or make another salary specific move like that then Sarver's fingerprints will be more noticeable than they have been lately.

they will have some difficult decisions this off-season. They need to pay Ayton and Cam Johnson. They need to decide about Aaron Holiday. They need to dump Saric and Shamet.

Other than being Lebron's son... is there any reason Bronny makes it to the NBA?

Evans was banned for violations of the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Policy in 2019, and became eligible to apply for reinstatement this year.

Evans is a free agent and can start negotiating with a team immediately. He's able to sign with a new team beginning Friday at noon ET.

The Miami Heat are signing forward Haywood Highsmith to a 10-day contract, agent Jerry Dianis told @TheAthletic @Stadium. Highsmith spent time with Miami earlier this season on a hardship 10-day.

How high do you draft Bronny in order to get Lebron?

I read Bronny is eligible to enter the NBA Draft in 2024. NBA Draft Room has him going #26 in that draft.

I imagine Lebron will be doing one year contracts to make sure they can play together.

Of course whoever drafts Bronny has to realize the expectations.

Trail Blazers took out the Bucks on the road 122-107. Giannis didn't play but still impressive.

If the NBA gets rid of the "one and done" rule for draft eligibility he could go straight out of high school. But while he is a solid college recruit he isn't anywhere near the level of the guys that used to jump straight into the pros... and the majority of those guys crashed and burned anyway. I think it is likely he goes to college for a year or 2.

Regardless, if LeBron is serious about forcing his way onto Bronny's team then Bronny would have to be really really awful drop out of the first round.

That would be a tricky situation though, LeBron would not be happy if Bronny wasn't getting any playing time, even if he clearly wasn't ready for it.

Remember when the Suns signed Dragic's brother, then Dragic became unhappy because his brother wasn't getting any playing time... even though we only signed his worthless brother to make Dragic happy...

There’s been metrics in the past that suggest Draymond was more important the Warriors than Steph. Don’t shoot the msgr.

Draymond is the heart and soul of that Warriors team. He’s not the best player obviously, but what he brings in intangibles makes him irreplaceable, especially defensively. Nice to get another half game on GS but Clippers have been a nuisance for us before and I expect nothing less than a dogfight tomorrow night.

Oh they're totally different without him. The defense was amazing until he got hurt but there's other reasons. The bench is playing more so they're not rested. Getting Klay back has been great, but it's cut GP2's minutes. Iggy is hurt again, so the 3 best defenders on the team 2 of them are out the other is playing less, so the defense has fallen off. And the offense is not the same without Draymond, they need more playmaking from Steph, more from Poole, and that's the 2 guys who were really scoring the ball. I went to bed early last night but I knew they were going to lose you could just see. They need Draymond back to make another run.
