I'd be thrilled to have Oubre as an energy guy the bench, in a few years he might be more willing to accept that role, don't think he is there yet though.

He is too selfish and waaaay to streaky to be out there without a short leash.

I'm not sure why there has to be this knock down Oubre crowd.

He played a heck of a lot better than Trevor Ariza who the Suns traded for him and he actually wanted to be here.

Also he was part of the trade that helped the Suns get Chris Paul.

I guess there's a fine line between analysis (opinion) and tearing someone apart. The trade was great for us, he gave us another reason to watch the Suns beyond Devin and he brought a lot of smiles to the audience. He was a threat that the defense couldn't ignore which helped Booker out a lot.

Prior to getting Rubio, Oubre made us a little better but when Kelly went out with an injury, we started playing better team basketball. I don't think our bubble run happens if he hadn't been injured.

On a reasonable contract and had he been comfortable being the first or second guy off the bench, he could have been a fixture here for years. Fans loved him but even now he's still more flash than substance. I like the guy so I hope he matures enough to realize the kind of role he's probably best suited for.

There's a good chance the Suns never get the Valley jerseys if Oubre never came through also. No, I'm not saying he designed them but its impossible to deny his impact here with fans and starting the whole "Valley Boys" nickname that evolved into the best jerseys they've had since the Barkley years.

I have no problem with reasonable analysis of a player's game. We do it all the time even with players currently on the roster. However, there seems to be an inclination by some to pile on especially when that player is gone. Someday we may want to get some of these players back. IMO, we should be working hard to make this a positive environment where players want to play.

I think Kelly Oubre played a huge role behind that concept. The least we can do is wish him well.

Yeah. I think so. Sometimes I almost feel compelled to come to his defense when I think the criticism crosses the line.

I find it humorous. Some players can do no wrong and others can't do anything right. Its part of sports though, there is a tribal mentality that comes with being a fan and once a player is no longer with the team, they're the enemy, regardless of whether they wanted to leave or not. In Kelly's case though he didn't ask for or demand a trade and didn't complain about his role here either.

I know he said he sees himself as a starter in Golden State this year but I don't see that as a bad thing, especially when you looked at their roster. There's no doubting he was a top 5 talent on that team. If Ayton came out today and said he sees himself as a franchise centerpiece I think most fans would applaud that. Oh well. You can only control how you feel about a player but if you see them get bad rap then its only normal to speak up, IMO.

Wizards have a logjam at the PF/C spots, I think Daniel Gafford is a great young big for the Suns to add this offseason. He can run the floor block shots and rebound.

Has tons of energy can catch the lob or score in the paint.

Suns can give up a few future 2nd round picks.

He can help solve the problem of rim protection and toughness when Ayton and Jae are out.

Next season is his 3rd in the NBA so he fits the Sun's timeline and salary limitations.

If the Suns have one of Ayton, Mcgee, or Gafford on the court they will always have
an above-average shot-blocker in the game an issue that may have cost them a championship this season.

They dont have much of a logjam because they will be sending some players to Brooklyn in the Dinwiddie sign and trade. Gafford was their closing Center last year, playing more in crunch time than their starter. He's apparently someone the Wizard believe can be their starter next year or at least be the primary backup to Thomas O'Brian.

Oubre is a good player when it comes to hustle and loyalty. What makes him suck to me is his D and what he thinks hes worth. Bridges is just so much better...but if he commands big money and that's why we lose him...he will proceed to suck lol
