The bubble referred to a specific series of games the league played after resuming play following a months long break due to Covid a couple of years ago. Since then they've instituted play-in games which determine the 7th and 8th playoff spots but to my knowledge isn't called "the bubble".Would someone do me a favor and remind me what directions the playoff brackets progressively go in? By which I mean which series winner faces which other series winner, including in the bubble. I frequrntly forget.
Adams is a real loss but they've been without him and Clarke for awhile now. And Memphis is 19-6 without Clarke this season. They struggled for awhile without Adams but finished with a 13-4 record with both Clarke and him out. So I don't think I'd be lying in wait for an opportunity to face them, they're still going to be very tough. And odds are good even without Adams that you'll come away with at least one injured player after facing them. With the injuries to Memphis, if you were one of the teams in the 5-8 scrum in the west, what would your preferred seed be?
It’s tough because you can’t really control it. To try and get to Memphis as the 2 seed means having to put yourself in the play-in tournament to get the 7 seed. And that puts your team at risk of not even making the playoffs at all. With the injuries to Memphis, if you were one of the teams in the 5-8 scrum in the west, what would your preferred seed be?
Memphis will run that Lakers team out of the gym.I groan at that, because I strongly expect the Lakers to win the play-in and be...#7, isn't it? The Lakers are now good enough, and the Grizzlies unpredictable enough, that I find it quite plausible for the Lakers to upset the Grizzlies and reach the next round. In the second round, there they'd face....the Kings or (probably) the Clippers, no? And if they could beat the Grizzlies, they plausibly could beat the Kings or Clippers.
But that's as far as the Lakers could go. If they upset their way to the WCF, they would face the Nuggets or Suns, and are not good enough to beat the Suns. Probably not good enough to beat the Nuggets either, except that the Nuggets have injuries; and I'm skeptical of the Nuggets anyway because they have always been said to lack fire.
...I don't care enough anymore about the Lakers to hate them, but I still am tired of seeing lebron james and his superstar hangers-on. That's why I groan.

Still in flux. But if the Clippers beat us, we’re playing LAC. If Clippers lose and GS wins tomorrow, we play GS. If both teams lose and Lakers win, we play LAL. If all 3 lose, and the Pels beat the Timberwolves, we play New Orleans. So do we know any of the matchups yet or is all still in flux?
Don’t quote me on the New Orleans deal but the other scenarios are accurate with LAC, GS and LAL.So do we know any of the matchups yet or is all still in flux?
Sorry but it's out there on the internet, you'll be held accountable for it until long after Hollywood runs out of re-makes and sequels.Don’t quote me on the New Orleans deal but the other scenarios are accurate with LAC, GS and LAL.

It’s going to be the Clipps cause we’re waiving the white flag tomorrow.I think I just heard there is no scenario where we play the Lakers. It’s clippers, warriors or pelicans.

100%It’s going to be the Clipps cause we’re waiving the white flag tomorrow.
I wouldn't rule out them also sitting everyone to try and get the Kings in round 1.
KawhiWhile the Suns are expected to sit most of their starters, which they also did Friday night against the Los Angeles Lakers, coach Tyronn Lue said he will play everyone that he can.
“I hope they sit all five guys. I’ll take it however I can get it,” Lue said. “My main focus is doing what we have to do to get into the playoffs. It doesn't matter what seed.”
The Clippers need a win in the final regular-season game to avoid landing in the play-in for the second straight season. They were the eighth seed last season and lost to Minnesota and New Orleans to miss the playoffs.
“We have to win. That’s the focus,” Leonard said.

@Mainstreet this is exactly why the NBA won’t just change our game to suit the Suns… who didn’t even play a back to back today and yesterday. This
100%
And Ty Lue has said they are playing everyone tomorrow because there is still a possibility that they fall into the 7th play in spot.
P.S. I love how all the games that can affect each other tip off at the same time tomorrow. 1:30 and 3:30est.
I would have thought it also if I didn't see that earlier.Alriiiiiight.
Will the jury please disregard my previous post?
And if you're going to play a quarter, why isn't it the last aka Luka time? Now it makes a little sense. Still, if he's playing, why not really play him instead of just trotting him out for a quarter?
