It’s early season, it takes a while for teams to get in a groove.

Yeah, it's been this way for years. More often than not the early season surprises have to do with conditioning. The lower tier (usually, younger) teams come in already in game shape hoping to earn or solidify a place in the league, then after a few weeks the rest of the teams are all in game shape and order is restored.
As long as were full stride come playoff time. The rest this year is gravy.

Yep. I'm a little concerned right now about the pf position but it would also be nice to know what's going on with CP3. Is he off his diet or is he just planning on playing his way into shape? Like they say, round is a shape, and it's a fine shape for a basketball, not so much for a basketball player.

Most players that sign overseas have a clause in their contract that allows them to sign onto an NBA team and get out of their contract. I wonder if he did that too.

Probably, but it also likely means the Suns didn't show much if any interest.
I hope James Jones has a plan but I'm starting to worry about it.
Some of these guys do get decent money over there and guaranteed playing time. So, there is also that. I am starting to think that the Suns won't do anything until the trade deadline other than whatever happens to Crowder. At the trade deadline I could see the Suns moving multiple people to land one if other teams are calling it a season so to speak. They are predicting a ton of tanking going on this year to land Wembanyama by many teams.

It's a long time to wait until the trade deadline. The Suns should fix one of their needs ASAP.
I think they are going to fill one with a Crowder trade. I can't see them letting Crowder sit there and I am sure he doesn't want to either. That is unless the Suns trade him for garbage just to get him off the team. I am going to be pissed if they do that. I see them making another move by the trade deadline though based on how this bench is turning out.

Philly, who's off season the media loved, is now 0-3 after losing at home to the Spurs. Thybulle has gone from "untouchable" in trade talks to not even in their rotation. Their bench has scored a total of 34 points.

I don't watch every game they play but when I have seen him (this year and much of last year), Embiid just didn't look like the force he's been most of his career.

Impressive numbers but last year he still put up solid numbers without being as impactful as he has been in the past. He was settling for outside jumpers and not playing great defense either. Maybe it was just an injury that he was playing through that has finally gone away but he seemed like the weak link for Philly against Milwaukee a couple nights ago too. Still, we'd kill to get 40 and 13 from our big man.

I disagree. Until a few months into his final season here he was almost unplayable. Granted, we were still playing him out of position until then but Monty wasn't really the problem. The problem was that Jalen needed to be developed and should have spent much of his rookie season in the G League but our thrifty owner had just sold it off. And no other G League team would have had any motivation to develop someone from another team.
