If he over pays, I hope it costs the Mavericks someone else.

I'm really not worried about a Mavs team built around Kyrie and Luka.

A ball hog who no one wants to play with teamed up with a ball hog who no one wants to play with.

I expect that combo to play exactly .500 basketball... only exceeding that mark if one or both are injured.

It is a match made in heaven because they both seem to blame everyone else for their failures.

I don't buy it. KD and Harden were at odds before Harden was dealt out of Brooklyn. There was even KD publicly snubbing him when he and LeBron did their All-Star selections that year with KD pretending Harden didn't exist. I really don't think KD would be open to a reunion.

Kings are trading for Chris Duarte from the Pacers. They are building a solid team in Sacramento.

Harden thought he could come to Phoenix?

Good grief. He cheated on the old girlfriend and then dumped her. Now he thinks he is going to take her back only to find out that she has a new boyfriend and she's happy. Sounds like a Jane Austen novel. (Cause my wife makes me watch those movies with her).

The Trail Blazers are waiving forward Trendon Watford, age 22.

He can play power forward as he is 6'9" inches and weighs 240 pounds.

We should absolutely pick him up using the Trade Exception. Don't even wait for him to clear waivers.

If he is cut how can you use a trade exemption?

This is suspicious, his numbers are too good and his salary too low for this to be a basketball decision.

I have a feeling if this is just a dumb move by Portland, he is likely to get one of those 5 million exceptions somewhere else. Young guys aren't likely to take a discount.

That's part of the new CBA, trade exceptions can now be used for waiver wire claims.

Hollinger brought it up as a possibility specifically with the Suns, and he generally knows what he's talking about when it comes to contracts and signings.

That would be the new CBA starting tomorrow, right?

The Suns would have to throw in some cash as I understand it because they don't have any tradable draft picks. However, they only have $1.5 million in useable cash.

Potentially good changes in the NBA especially the coach being awarded a second challenge if ruled correct.

The flopping technical could open a can of worms.

I'm thinking the Nets are going to keep Cam Johnson because they are clearing money.

The Nets send two second round picks with Joe Harris.

So, this means Detroit is settling on using their cap room on Joe Harris - That's the best they can do with so little cap space out there? Seems like a dumb move to me.

The Nets can still create plenty of room to operate and could end up trading Joe Harris for more assets or buying him out.

Strong indications that Saric is going to sign with the Warriors, per Bay Area media reports.

I really wish Monty hadn't gone there. Those 3 for Ayton would have been a decent return for us.
